人o地現在唔讀的科目而家先叫仔女讀，out 唔out D 阿！

別說architect 和 engineer，現時之醫生、律師也不太好過。但每年頂尖學生，仍不少以醫生、律師為目標。正是現時和將来之前景越来越不明朗，所以不論學生、家長，現時的壓力，自然比以前多。做為家長，除自己要努力外，要求子女努力，似是本能反應。

In early days, when you are prof. you will automatically guranteed income and business. Today, the Gov. policies (funding of lack thereof), economic conditions (downturn and restructured) has changed drastically. Those three "wealthy" prof are no longer the most sought after. There are some who are doing well in these prof. but the ratio is much lower compare to the old days.

As parents, if you really care about your children's future, you must go through in-depth research and present the facts and trends of the current/future working world in order your children can make their own decision.

One can succeed in any field if he has the correct attitude which is apparently lacking in the newer generations.

I could witness the blooming of construction industry in early 90's engaging in the major civil engineering projects like the new airport, Tsing Ma Bridge, West Rails, Container ports, etc. However, the prospect of civil construction industry is now declining.

The financial industry is also a sunset industry, machines replace a lot of people, back offices all moved to PRC.  Competition is terribly keen, mergers and acquisitions, laying off staff all the time.  All jobs are just sales, sales, sales...

We work for from 9 to 9 everyday, pay a lot of tax every year to pay salary of civil servants and subsidize their kids to international schools, and on the other hand our kids have to be allocated to school under such poor random education system, and then we have to struggle very hard to keep our kids out from such unfair system, for over 20 years...

Can anyone tell me why???
