其實，既然阿Mr Yau知道囝囝的weak point，會幫佢改正，且將囝囝的優點再加強。有這樣的學校backup，還憂心甚麽。

我阿大的老師，自小一時就對我說：我知道你阿大的缺點---像極飯桶，我會幫佢改正。六年了，我阿大還是像極飯桶。今年升中了，無辦法，我為他報了一間適合她的中學--- Dumb Girl School。如果當時學校的校長像一半Mr Yau，多好！

I am also intended to resign my work and have more time to look after my sons.  Most of my friend do not agreed with me, they said being a full time mom is very boring but I believe this is worth.  You are the good example!

我非常同意"唔得難免有小小失望"，因為我個仔係細仔(年尾出世)，起初唸住同呀仔報吓，預左唔得，就算收都要唸唸成38000一年。點知個仔竟然有得2nd interview，唸住唔通好似佢地個簡介會咁講唔會睇大仔定細仔!!之後就開始唸，仲問定d親戚朋友意見如果收讀唔讀好。最後連waiting都無。雖然就算真係收左我都可能唔讀但知道結果時個心真係幾唔舒服ka。

其實唔知真係有冇d年尾出世又比DBSPD收左?如有，可唔可以分享吓。

Most probably my friend will give up DBSPD and take the seat from St. Paul Co-ed, so all boys on waiting list still have chances.

As far as I heard from the school, those applicants who are on the waiting list will probably have the chance to take the written examination only and not just replaced to those they have given up immediately.

Dear Didima,

Thanks for your sharing. No wonder your boy is so brilliant. The training programme is systemic and comprehensive. I have been doing part of them , but not all. Just share a bit here.

For grammer, as discussed with the native teacher in kinder two months ago, it may be a bit early to her p't of view. Just encourage him to talk more to make it a sting of words, not just a single word as answer.
But I think, it is time to build up. Do you go for an organisation or private tuition for the grammer course ?

In fact, I am quite reply on the kingergarten for the academic development ie. Reading scheme since K1 (3 books per week), weekly "Show and tell"  to build up the confidence. But my son seldom tells a story book in the class , he always shows and tells the toys - you know, kids!!
On the other hand, I bring him to Library every Sunday since he was 1.5 yr old.  He reading a lot of books , of course  not between lines. Now, I try to go back to the simplier books so that he can read by his own.

It is really very difficult to handle the time management as I am a working mom. Besides all these academic developments, I wholly agree the appropriate attitude of being a human is the most important.

I am almost same case as you, my son has got 2nd interview and finally receive the rejection letter. I am still on the way to manage disappointment and try to encourage my son since he is much aware that DBS is the best school with a very good campus. I also comfort myself that my son does the great job (i.e. he is born in December, too).

Congratulations to Cottontail, your son is brillant.
