唉！我啱啱打去Think(Mei Foo)問多次，每日有多少時間用英文教學，今日答我45mins/day (前兩日答我15mins/day)。點解分別咁大？有冇舊生可以分享吓 Think(Mei Foo) 嘅2歲班(lower nursery)好唔好？

Kowloon Tong said 1 hr in English, 1hr45mins in Cantonese and 15mins in Putonghau everyday. Besides, they said that there is no English book because all the English teaching materials are prepared by the teacher.

Sometimes I really think it;s an advantage studying in pm class as the class size is far smaller. My son's LN class last year just had 10 students (1 class teacher) ....

My daughter is in LK class (K2).  She has been studying at Think (MF) since LN class.  From my understanding when my daughter was in the LN class, it was the chinese teacher who take care of my daughter the most, her teacher at the time was Ms. Ho.  Miss Lizzy was the english teacher, she takes the children to have english topic time for 15-20 mins each day, and at group activities time she will take 2 class to have art and craft activities.   Also everyday, she will neither take them for singing or to play outside.
So if you want to clarify whether english is only for 15-20 each day, you can be assured they get more then 15-20 each day.

I understand we as parents wants the best for our children, when I apply Think for PN in2007, I was concerned about the time they get for english because I wanted to apply for the International class because we will return to UK when she start Primary school. The Principal told me for PN they want the children to speak well in their mother language first as this will help them form the base of their language ability before introducing new language to them.  When my daughter started LN, she hardly speak, but as soon as she start LN, her language progress so fast, now it's hard to stop her talking.

As told by the NET teacher on the open day, kid can take the full day class starting from K1. So they can have more opportunity to speak and learn english. Besides, I can choose the Internat ...

Pertra,

I enrolled my daughter to the Full day class when she finished LN.  She was bilingual class in the morning and then all english in the afternoon. They do projects in english for the afternoon which I find very good for the children and my daughter really enjoys the project class because she likes the stories and fun activities the teacher design for them.  The class helps her build up confident in speaking english to a western teacher.

I think my focus should not on the length of English teaching only, the quality of teachers (caring or not) and teaching methods also critical.
Hope my girl enjoy the school life ...

I am glad I can help you answer some of your worries, when your child start LN, the teacher will phone everyday for the first month to tell you how your child is doing.  When my daughter started LN, I was very worried because they only allow parents to stay for 2 days and she was crying a little, but when they phone me to tell me how she was doing, I was more at ease.

How much is it for the full day of K1 (bilingual class) ?

This year I am paiding $59XX each month for full day class, this include lunch and snack fee.  School fee has now change to 10 month installment, last year for full day it was $54XX (11 month installment) I guess it's the same payment as last year but we only pay 10 month instead.
We also need to paid miscellenous fee (books, CDs art and craft material) each term.  I think each age group differs so you have to find out what you need to pay for first term miscellenous fee for your child's class.
