Tks. saw it today. Mine circled the page no. which indicate that is homework of the day. Did Calix make any mark?

Hi LA,
Today I dropped my son to school...Ms. Lee told me that Calix had 做多咗一版數學功課 on Tuesday.  The colouring work is on the page of "2".  I'm such a careless mom!

i didn't wrap handbook in K1. And there will be another one in 2nd term. Why is it important?

Yes, Calix circled p.2 also.  I think Ms. Lee wants to make sure they do the right page.  Luckily, Ms. Lee didn't erase this page which means Calix doesn't need to do the number homework today, haha...

I didn't wrap the handbook during K1 also but I heard from some friends & teachers that some primary schools may need to see the K2 handbook during P1 application.  Therefore we need to maintain a "clean sheet" of our kids' handbooks (e.g. remember to take temp. b4 going to school or the teachers will write 欠探熱 which shows that we are careless).  Don't know if I'm right or wrong.

Also Ms. Lee asked them to write 0 to 5 (with dominos) on a clear paper and bring back to school tmw.

For the PTH, i remember my son mentioned that once Ms Yu (PTH teacher) bring a Tigger to their class and my son said she "bla bla bla"

They'd PTH lesson today.  Ms. Yu taught them saying 「老師好／再見」「小朋友好／再見」。My son told me that Ms. Yu spoke w/portable mircophone.

Ms. Lee taught them saying "I go to Kentville Kindergarten ...

Forgot to say they'd learnt 「桌」yesterday.  Our class seems teaching faster than others.

Today Chloe & Paco Lee (李栢賢）had finished the Show & Tell.  My son couldn't tell me what they'd presented as their voices were too soft (what an excuse, haha!!)

My son finished the homework quickily tonite and we had completed the art & craft also.  As mentioned b4, my son doesn't like art & craft & drawing.  Yet, to my surprise, he enjoyed a lot this time...maybe that's the purpose of having child-parent project.

my son tell me to let him bring the "3 little pigs" book back school to let  Ms Suen having this story with them.  Don't know if true but i let him bring.

Oh!  No wonder my son was so excited when he found "The Three Little Pigs" yesterday at Popular book shop!  He told me that he wants to show it to his classmates but I just thought that he just 隨口講吓.  Thanks MaggieHuang for letting me know this.  I'll ask my son again this morning.

Have asked my son this morning...he said Ms. Lee & Ms. Suen asked them to bring story books (only if they have at home) like "The Three Little Pigs" & "The Ugly Duckling" to school for sharing with other classmates.  I guess it's something related to their Chinese reader on p.17.

Had asked Ms. Suen yesterday...they encouraged the kids to bring the story books (related to p.17) to school should they have any at home...yet, seems that happened last week already and therefore the teachers didn't read the story books brought by my son yesterday.

Ms. Suen had told them about National Holiday...it's the 60th birthday of China!  My son also said Ms. Suen will play the national anthem to them later.

It's funny that the teachers called the Chinese word cards as "卡姐姐" and the homework books as "印(?)簿叔叔" .

btw, as I read the notice from the school, seems like at least 1 or 2 new cases of H1N1 at school, quite worried for our kids' health

at least just one more day of school (tomorrow), then the kids will have a long weekend to stay home. I am sure the school will give them lots of homework to keep the kids very occupied during this coming weekend

one other happy thing to share with everyone. When I spoke with my friends (their kids are in K3 of other kindergarten), I believe many primary schools have high regards for Kentville students (e.g. hardworking, polite). So hopefully for next year, our kids will be accepted by many good schools.
