Re: 大家有冇心水幼稚園{荃灣區}
Hi Godzillap,
yeah, I live in Belvedere Garden Phase 2. Well, up to now, I still can't make up my mind yet, actually, I like the evnironemnt of YYCS and the friendly teachers but they adopt project approach. It will be a bit difficult for Gordon if I wish him to promote to a better primary school like Pui Ching or LaSalle (WISH and depend on his ability). However, if he wants a really happy and easy life for his schooling, YYCS is the best one. They have told me that the time is scheduled at around 7:35am every morning, however, it is just estimated, they haven't confirmed with the driver. it's quiet early.
One thing, when I spoke with the teacher of YYCS, I told them that Gordon is currently studying in the N1 class of Luk Yeung. I know this school and said Luk Yeung has a lot of homework to do. So, I guess Luk Yeung is not that bad. I know a mommy who her daughter is studying in the same class with Gordon, she has a same thinking like me.
For TWBaptist, I guess the chance is quiet low even they accept him. I really hope Gordon can learn more English, honestly, I don't like Chinese very much. I use to speak English with Gordon at home. I really have no confident with our local teachers who speak English with my kids. It is because TWBaptist is quiet popular in TW, so, I just try. Besides, Gordon is studying in Luk Yeung and he seems very happy there, it is not neccessary to move to another kindergarten in the same district. Luk Yung provides English lessons every day and one mandarin lesson on every Fridays. These seems fine to me.
Although Pui Ching is my first choice, as I said before, I really don't like Chinese and not good at that. Well, the only way is I have to learn Chinese again lor. I know they don't allow parents to stay with the kids during interviewing. Well, god bless gordon and me. I always ask Gordon that can you handle the interview and play with other kids if Mom is not in here (interview room) with you. HE SAYS, 'NO'. So, I am not that confident if Pui Ching will accept him. The reason I choose Pui Ching is the students from kindergarten can directly promote to primary school without any testing or interview again and for the secondary school, they will accept around 85% primary student to promote to F1. Reason is simple but it is hard work for Gordon and me if he gets in.
btw, where is your son studying now? Have you let him studied in nursery school? It seems to me that it is quiet useful for my son since he speaks lot and looks smarter than before. Besides, TWBaptist, have you applied any other kindergarten in Tsuen Wan and Kowloon Tong or somewhere else? So far, I think I'm a bit crazy, Gordon has taken part in 4 interview la. York (Accepted but I gave up), YYCS, TWBaptist, Keen Mind (don't like this school even they accepted Gordon). The coming are St Catherine, Kenville, 荊免堂, Soka, Pui Ching, Kowloon Rhenish. I have never given pressure to Gordon. Just tell him try your best to answer to question. On the other hand, it is a good practice for him to face stranger and talk with him.
Or maybe at last, Gordon will study in Luk Yeung.

Hi Gordon Ma,
Are you live in Tusen Wan? I had paid the registration fee for Yau Yat Chuen as well!! Would you choose Yau Yat Chuen or TW Baptist if TW Baptist accept Gordon ?? And why ? It's difficult to choose, right ? Do you know how long will the school bus take from TW to Yau Yat Chuen ? I guess you want Gordon to have easy Kindergarten life if you like TW Baptist & Yau Yat Chuen , how come you would like Pui Ching most ? It is a bit tranditional and the life of Gordon will not be easy there. And for my understanding, Pui Ching's interview would not allow parents to accompany the kid. Would that be OK for Gordon?? |
