Good morning parents!

Him Him finally told me a name of his classmate - Anson after a month of study at KV...haha

Him Him also did not have any interest class at the moment 'cos most of them have to reach the age of 3.

I'm trying to find some for him next month. Have you tried swimming class at Stanford before? As it seems that it's quite well-organized and the course fee is not expensive and there's swimming site at TKO, so I would like to enrol a course (8 classes) for him...but hubby worried that it's getting cold to learning swimming . So, I'm still thinking of it.

exactly same as me...
i dont allow my maid to take care Tungtung to the place where is far from my home...she just attend the course near home....

Tungtung also studied pre-nursery before..but she cant tell me exactly happened during school..if her mood is good, then can tell me a little..haha

also, even i called her, she always not willing to talk with me via phone...so, of course, she will not call me and ask me when i will back...

haha...need to ask Tungtung, whether she know the name of child who sit next to her....haha

re the syllabus they took back yesterday..i re-called with Tungtung, she still remember around 80%...haha...i m so happy even not 100%

she just forgot "bird" and dont know how to say the song of "good-bye teacher" and "good morning"...etc

Yesterday, I picked up the 6 chinese words for week 1 and week 2. Him Him can recognize all! I'm really happy ah! Last week when I played with him, it seemed that he didn't like to play with me. Yesterday, I tried to use another method by showing him my own hand/foot/eye/mouth, etc and asked him to pick up the appropriate card for me, he can do it! So, I assumed that he can recognize all the words..haha.

I also noticed that when he gets on the school bus, he will look up to recognize the row number where he should sit at. I feel amazing that he can find his seat properly and sit back without any assistance from the teacher. I'm really happy that kv can build up their independence!

Hi Weewee,

My son is also attending his 2nd course of swimming lesson at Stafford...He did not like it for the 1st course...(always refused to go in the water).  Then i happened to learn that one of his old schoolmate also hated swimming by his own (he had private lesson) .  So we arranged them joining a course together.., now they love swimming and refuse to come out of the pool when finishing class.  They finsihed their 3rd lesson together last week..and both of them can put their own heads into the water.   I will let him continue even during Winter because the pool water is warm there and i will get him the swim suit like diving suit.

Which swimming site is it for Preston? How many students are there per class? Are you joining the preparation class for the age of 3-5?

May I know if the NETs are western people or native-english speaking chinese?

Him Him's used to attend international class when he's in nursery class and his teachers are either Indian. So, he's no problem speaking simple English. I would like to let me have more social explosure with western people. Now, since kv does not have NETs, he can speak in English with our maid only (philipino).

We went to the colleague up at the hill, close to Chiu Lam.  Our class only have 2 students (Preston and his friend..because we organise our own time for course ), but they promised max. of 4 students in each class. Yes...our class is for age 3-5.

Yes..this is the one...good on u..i did not find their website. haha
For my son's class, the teacher is a western.  Preston likes him very much.   But i saw some of the classes..have English speaking chinese...It depends on the classes that your son will attend.  You can check with that school first.  I know the teachers will hold classes for both Hunghom campus and Central campus.

Where's chiu lam? do you mean 景嶺書院 in TKO? If yes, I also want to enrol there but I'm afraid there's not many students there that can make up a class. When's your class? Sat/sun at what time?

Thanks a lot! I'll check it. In summer, Him Him's joined an English summary course but he didn't like it. He made me crazy during the time 'cos he always ran or sleep on the floor or stand on the chair in the classroom . I think he might feel bored of the teaching approach (most of the time just sit back, listen or draw pictures) And I think the English teacher (a western man) is not quite ok dealing with these students of young age (all are ~3 years old)

Yes 景嶺書院. Our class is every Friday night at 7.30 pm...it is a bit late.  We found our own classmates.. to make up a class.then we called Stafford to arrange that class.  We even chose our own coach...luckily she was available too.

Btw, did you receive the picture with an apple (I guess it's a page of the picture dictionary or something like that). Do we need to fill in the color and return to school or just keep it at home?

yeah...it is an apple and aeroplane as well...students can color them at home and filed them inside the folder (keep at home) that Ms So gave us on Orientation day.

Hi Kattang,

It's never too early. Indeed, there are a lot of courses who welcome kids under 3 to join. Personally, i quite like the courses organised by YMCA (TST). They've language, sports (gym, swimming) and art programmes which are catered for young kids.

Hi Prestonmom and weewee,

i highly recommend you to buy the diving suit for your kids for swimming lesson taking place in winter (or even autumn). Adrian joined the swim class since he was 1 yr old. We both put on  diving suit because it was freezing whenever we ascended from the swimming pool.

Not necessarily. But members do enjoy a small discount on course enrollment.

Adrian started early for swimming wor, could he swim well now?  I hope to keep swimming as regular sports for Preston, in order to bulid up a strong  氣管 for him.  Because he was easy to get cough/氣管敏感 in winter , and the medical bills  were very high too...

Oh!! Tungtung yet to start leaning swimming...
as cant arrange the course for her...she is busy during Saturday and i feel uncomfortable for her to go to swimming with maid during weekday...so ...winter is coming, so maybe start next year...

btw, do your son / daughter go to swimming course with yourselves ? do you think they can go with maid as they are still baby....
