My friend just gave up TSL.  Her son is my son's current classmate.  She decided to let his son stay in current school due to his son's poor chinese standard. What a pity!

We went to the Thomas Show this morning,my son was very happy of the surprise. afterall, we both got very tired by the time when we got home...don't know why....

My daughter has to join a graduation party so that she willnot come with us. the maid will take her home after the party but I have to come with my younger son...and his grandparents will go to the school to pick up the boy...haha..好大陣象呀!!
then we can join the orientation comfortably...

which school your friend's son is going to study? KRS, TT or SFA?
it is really pity for that boy to give TSL. Hope his mum had choosen the most suitable school for him.

my daughter only has one kindergarten schoolmate with her to TSL. hope she can make some new friends in the new school soon.

Hi everyone,

I went to the orienation day and found the video of NCS learning PTG v interesting. I couldn't help laughing. My little one didn't go w me. She went for the swimming class. I was a bit disappointd in the beginning. But then he told me the coach was teaching something new. I was glad that at this young age (5yr8m) she know how to "weight" and made decision for herself. I have to admit that she is a "big girl" now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your daughter is really a mature girl even she is only 5.8 years old.  My boy is 6 years old.  He has been learning swimming for 1 year.  Doing nothing, just play in the water.  Headache!!!

I have bought the books and uniform already.  The Phonics book is sooooo thick.  Do u guys know whether they can put it in school?

If your daughter could finish the Phonic homework in school, just leave it in her desk drawer.  It's not necessary for her to bring it home.:loveliness:

There are heavy schoolbag days and there are light schoolbag days.  So the kids can either take the phonics book home on the light schoolbag days, or once a week, or once every several weeks.

The kids can leave some stuff in their desk but not all.  Some lower pr kids are quite messy (incl mine), and they keep losing this and that, including textbooks, workbooks, worksheets, cardigans, water bottles, stationery, lunch thermos ...

So it is highly recommended that you team up with parent(s) in the same class, to check homework (the e-class list may not be complete !!), and fax missing worksheets in emergencies.

Thanks Tingmum and Bluestar,  good to hear that they can keep in school with the thick book.  unfortunately is that they always lose their belongings. Oh, yes, I should keep contact with parents in same class.  
When will we know which class our kids belongs to?

8月30日係 orientation day, 要著校服.

小一係預左好多小朋友成日唔記得帶野返來, 唔見外套, 泳鏡, water bottle,又唔記得帶功課返屋企做, 抄漏手冊或抄完自己都唔識睇等, 好彩學校網站會公佈功課, 不過最好是家長間一起對下, 就不會有錯漏.  當年好彩同b*一班, 攞左佢電話, 至今我都要成日麻煩佢.
