我都是這樣想，希望學校物有所值，以後只好慳 D 啦。

Hi All,

My friend just gave me a ring and chated an hour for this topic. She receives the letter today and thinks the school fees is 太离谱. They are paying for less than $1,000 at the moment. And what they were told was about $1,500. She is looking for the other kindergarten now.

She told me that most of the existing children from King Lam Kindergarten may not join the new kindergarten because of the expensive school fees. They are looking for the other kindergarten now.

However, she finds the numbers of book are more than the existing list. It may be more homework in the future.

My comment to her is, stay in here except she could find a better and cheaper kindergarten. To be honest, it seems that it's too late to find another good kindergarten.

的確有點貴，不過新校是貴些的，如經濟上有問題可申請資助，現在好多人也申請資助的，不是好窮的才會申請，如在一家庭中得一人工作，而人工也不是太高我相信也合資格，但正確資格不太清楚，可電學校問問吧!

I find that there is another topic about the Government 資助 in BK. The relevant web site is listed in there.  Heard that it's very difficult to apply it.

Hi, All mumies,

I've found "宣道" 幼稚園 for am class, there're many activities provided for the children. Most important of all, they've one English (foreigner) teacher with two lesson per week, one Madarine teacher with three lession per week. And the school fee is only $784/month.

But, the school is a little bit small though with enough facilities.

In my dream, I hope my child could study in St. Andrew with 宣道 courses. As a new school, I'm afraid of paying $2000/month but nothing sure about their quality. The school is really big and beautiful. But, I think I'll save the money to let my child to learn more after school.

And if many parents gone, I'm afraid of the attendance when the school is open.

Now, I'm still keep watching, but most properly I think I'll join 宣道. If you're interested, kindly call 宣道 or 比華利 as they still have a few places for a.m. class.

Sorry, 我冇心影響你!只是現實情況需要再三考慮!

事實當知道學費後, 我當晚立即召開家庭會議, 綜合以往各BK家長意見, 有關聖安德肋的資料如下:
1.每星期有一堂English Story Sharing, 冇外籍老師
2.每星期有一堂普通話堂, 普通話老師?
3.程度較淺, 和景林天主教差不多, 要配合轉讀K2/K3學生
4.未聽聞有開辦任何課餘興趣/活動班
5.學費資助未肯定, 有可能$21??
6.新校長再夾新老師, 教學方法需要時間協調

比較其他幼稚園, 我發現St. Andrew的書簿費較少, 書當然也較少, 我有點擔心程度會否脫節?

最佳方法是兩手預備, 看看還有沒有其他心儀學校, 或者讀一年再決定K2是否轉校.

在我而言, 不是單考慮負擔得起, 而是值不值得, 我昨天去看了學校, 確實很大很靚, 真的不像幼稚園, 我想小朋友在這裡讀全很開心, 能夠健康成長, 因為活動空間對小朋友也很重要, 無論你決定怎樣, 我也支持你!

I agree with you. If you can find anothr good kindergarten, you could spend the extra $ for the other activities.

My friend just told me they would send the daughter to 聖安德肋. Just because the daddy prefer 天主教幼稚園 to the others. I believe they will send the kid to 聖安德肋 Primary School.

My friend is taking a higher risk than all of u cos' the kid is going to study K3. If this kindergarten is no good, you could change it in K2.

Yes, originally, I plan to go to St Andrew and spend some money to improve my daughter's English and learn something like dancing, playing piano..etc. But under the confirmed fee, it's quite hard to spend extra money for back-up activities, especially,  if the level of St Andrew is much lower than others.  

How about your friend's daughter? If sending to St Andrew primary school, I think it mostly Okay. But, is it need to choose the primary school at the end of K2?  There're many good Catholic  kindergarden outside TKO such as St Rosa, Rosaryhill and the school fee is under $2000. But, I don't know whether they still have places.

For my case, what's your comment about 宣道?

不要這樣說, 因為我先生是什麼也不理的, 所以唯有靠自己諗多0的  

我應該會讀宣道了, 其實我覺得在我選校的過程中, 一直有神的主宰, 可能因為我一直在祈禱. 當初考慮時決定不想囡囡搭校車, 故只在附近幾間揀, 選了保良局但遲了拿表 , 結果只收了下午班, 煩惱間在小巴上看到聖安德肋招生, 於是開心面試, 最後放棄保良局專心等聖安德肋, 但最後又因學費問題而再考慮, 竟遇上了基督教的宣道 ... 我想我應該會讀宣道了!

對, 小學很重要, 大家一齊努力!

看了你們的意見，我覺得每個家長對學校的要求都有不同，希望子女所得到的也不一樣。

宣道與聖安德肋是兩間不同教學及理念的幼稚園，以我所知宣道幼稚園及小學都是比較著重學業測驗及考試較多。而聖安德肋是著重活動教學，培養小朋友學習的興趣，對於測驗及考試幼稚園更是没有的。

還有是要看小朋友本身的性格，是好動活潑喜歡發表意見還是比較安靜可以專注學習，然後才衡量哪間幼稚園合適自己的小朋友。

我相信這樣我們做家長的會較易決定。我的小朋友比較喜歡從生活中學習新事物及比較活潑(可能是男仔)，所以我仍會選擇聖安德肋，雖然是新校有很多東西仍是未知數，但我認同校長的理念及對天主教學校有信心。縱使學費比預期的多出很多，我仍覺得可以一試。

很開心你們選擇留在聖安德肋, 雖然我作了第二個選擇, 但始終聖安德肋也是我心儀的學校之一, 我也認同陳校長所說的理念和教學, 祝大家仔女也學習愉快!

有空也可在這裡繼續交流大家的學習進展和仔女情況啊!

很贊成KCMAMA的說話, 每個家長和每個子女的性格和需要也不同,我的女兒其實也是活潑好動型, 但若要靜下來專心學習也可以,  所以傳統教學和活動教學我想也適合, 最好是二合一!

因此, 我最終選擇了宣道, 其一我覺得是神的旨意, 其二我看到宣道上堂時也不單是坐在這裡聽講課, 當學生排隊去活動室時, 老師還會一邊唱歌一邊帶領他們 ; 而且有很多課外興趣活動, 如彈琴, 芭蕾舞, 小童軍, 交通安全隊等等十多個可以選擇, 我想如此多姿多采的生活, 對囡囡來說是很適合的!

老師說每年只有評估, 沒有考試測驗, 至於小學, 我可能不會選擇將軍澳校網, 但也要看看這兩年的教改發展和女兒的意向!讀完K1再作打算!

怎樣也好, 我們的仔女快將進入人生另一階段, 我很緊張呢, 不知你們心情又如何?

Glad to hear that all of you have made the final decision.

My friend and her daughter are 天主教徒 but not her husband. We are so surprise that her husband would '维持原判' to stay in St. Andrew. Her husband has strong intention of going to the church every Sunday.

Now, I am thinking to send my kid to Nursery in the coming Sept or not....
