But you can also call the other 2-3 uniform suppliers (cannot recall their names now), not necessarily CBK.
We bought the tie at the other one last year.

Just found out that we bought the school tie at 金洋 (Jordan??) last year.

Better check their stock first before going.

Dear All,

My son lost his Octopus Card in school today :
boys in his class + another P4 class had swimming lessons during 3rd and 4th lessons today, after recess;
he took off his "dog tag" which held his school ID card, schoolbus card, a club membership card and his octopus card during swimming lesson, then forgot all about it;
then when yanyan fetched him at 3:30pm,
she found he didn't have the dog tag, and asked him;
he went into the changing room, and found only the card holder + club card + school ID card and schoolbus card; only the octopus card was gone.

He told his class teacher already, but of course we have little hope of ever finding it, although I know the no. on the card (it was not a "personal" card and had no "autofillup"function, there was a balance of round $80 to $100).

So please remind your kids either not to bring octopus card and $$ to school, or be very cautious about where they leave their valuables.  And don't be so forgetful like my son.

Thanks your reminded, my girl works also on the list, she so happy about it. By the way i would like to know about the exam which held on next month,are include the last test chapter as well or not.I found that if also include the last chapter, in maths subject are 30 chapter totally,sounds terrible.And they exam all subject which include french and computer studies...as well ??? sorry for those silly question, i'm working mum and i don't know any parents in school either.

Yes, Exams = ALL subjects,
incl. PTH, Basic Fr / Jap, Music, PE, VA, CS -- these are done during the 1-2 weeks before the 5-day exam.  Advance notice will be given during class.  Kids should write them (dates / scope) down in assignment book.  A sheet of A4 paper will be given on PTH, both Oral and Written for this one.

Exam timetable and syllabus was distributed (circular) today.

First of all, congratulations to your daughter.

1) Bluestar has already given you a very comprehensive reply on your questions.
Just an additional remark is that the previous knowledge of Maths will be assessed continuously.
Frankly speaking, the examination in this school is not very tough comparing to most local schools in town.

2) You should have beed notified about the different weighting of  subjects in the E-circular #026 dated Sep 18th.
The weighting  is as below.

English : 9
Chinese : 8
Mathematics : 9
General Studies : 6
Visual Arts : 3
Music : 3
Putonghua : 1

P.E., C.S., Basic French / Japanese : not counted.

3) Although you may not have time to come to the school so often, you already know a lot of TSL parents on BK.  
There are about 30-40 TSL parents of different grades who have shown up on BK so far.
Keep visiting BK more often for the latest news all the time.

Thanks your reply, I don't know any parent at school,sometime when i . I just give a call to school than asks.  I felt terrible sorry about  whose answer my call .I am working mum, I am wishing to pick up my girl everyday from school. The only things i can do is "add oil "keep on to buying the mark 6. .

b) what is Chinese penmanship for in the examination?

c) what is about Chinese oral exam?, There are two dates for Chinese oral, on 12.12 and 13.12, why?

d) What is Chinese dictation, unseen or seen?

- Certain topics will be given to the pupils in advance.   Parents can discuss the answers 
with their children at home and prepare for the necessary materials.
English projects will only be done by the pupils in the school.

b) what is Chinese penmanship for in the examination?

- Pupils  will be asked to write down the content of a particular chapter.   They can copy the words from the Chinese book.

c) what is about Chinese oral exam?, There are two dates for Chinese oral, on 12.12 and 13.12, why?

- One day is not enough for all the pupils so it will be split into 2 days.

d) What is Chinese dictation, unseen or seen?

- Seen dication is for the words  from the Chinese textbook.
Unseen dication will be for the words taken from some other sources, not from the Chinese textbook.

in school and they  should be able to manage it by themselves.
A thorough washing at home is required when they return.

2) Amount of homework in P.1.

Mon-Thu (weekday) : about 3-4 (should be able to finish in one to one and a half hour).

Friday / long weekend : about 4-5 

Some kids can do homework faster than others.
It will depend on individual kid.

For P1 - 3, you need to buy wooden colour pencils (24 colours), oil pastel 粉彩, glue and scissors.   If you like you can get an apron and sleeves set, to protect their uniform from the glue, colour, etc during VA lesson.  The school will prepare all the paper and VA material (included in the $$ paid for stationery).  Cost of stationery collected by school = for exercise books, VA material, student ID card, assignment books (<== student handbooks).

PE lessons are double lessons,
swimming lessons during Sept to Nov and Apr to July, on alternate weeks.
2 classes of boys will have swimming 1 week and PE the following week, alternating with the girls.  Parents can choose not to let their kids swim if temperature is below 18oC.
So unless your kid joins the school team in sports activities, you need only buy 1 set of PE uniform.
Swimming cap = red cap.
