各位媽媽,
Thomas以前join個playgroup嘅老師call我, 佢話明天1:15pm係紅磡蔡瀾食妨樓上有講座"如何選擇小一", 叫我聽吓, 但係我有事唔得閒去, 佢話可以叫有興趣d媽媽去聽, 如果您地得閒就去聽吓做參考. 您地去到話"Fanny請我嚟"就得架啦!

Thanks for all your concern.  Alicia is still having a moderate fever from Tue afternoon to now.  Her body temperature was lower a bit after taking medicine but gradually back to a certain high level.

I am so grateful that TSLiu taught me how to handle influenza.  Without  any symptons beforehand, having such high fever for so many days, doctor also looks helpless.  In fact, they both had injections of flu prevention.  Unfortunately they both influenced.  As Thomas had the same illness one week before, the sharing here relieved me of some worriness.  At least it sounds normal for having a fever for so many days.

TSLiu also reminded me not to give her any milk and cereal if she got such serious cough.  Do you all know this?  If not, we both must bear in mind.  

I feel I am idiot 'cos I couldn't do anything except comforting her.  Influenza tortures kids too long indeed.  May I keep my finger crossed.  Hope she recover tomorrow.   :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

Don't worry.  My son and my sister's kids gad similar symptons as you mentioned.  (High fever can be up to 104 degree, 3-4 fever w/i 24 hrs, only slightly running nose and coughing, not serious and can be high fever only w/o running nose or coughing)  And i even sent my son to hospital for a thorough check up ... eventually the doctor said he had got virus which made him continuously had high fever for a week. But after a week, the high ferver was gone and my son recovered.  According to several doctors in the hospital, antibiotics doesn't help kill the virus, medicine just makes the kid feel better (e.g. running nose medicine make him sleep better, fever medicine stops the high fever).  What the kid needs to do is sleep more and drink A LOT OF WATER.
This happened to my sister's 2 kids too.  I know how worry you are as a mum.  But, if she has already consulted doctor and you've already tried your best to take good care of her, don't worry so much.  After a week (exactly 7 days), Alicia will recover.  Worry only if you find her still badly sick after a week's time.  Cheer up!

Thanks for your sharing.  After reading your post, I am rest assured a bit.  Yesterday night she still got a fever.  Today is the 8th day, without all your words, probably I have already brought her to the hospital.

NAOKI果時N班都試過呢隻K型流感, 反覆燒足5-6日, LAST NIGHT最高燒, 不過THE NEXT DAY完全退晒繼而康復, 成班同學輪流發病, 每1個都係同一個模式, 去到最高POINT就燒完, 好可怕 !

How is Alicia?  My daughter has same case.  Last last week (14-16/3) 已因 fever 冇返 3 日學, 每次食左藥就退燒, 藥力一過又燒返, 不過個醫生一早講左係會反覆燒幾日.  好左冇耐, last Saturday 又黎過, 今日又冇返學, 人都顛!  but 兩次個醫生都話佢喉嚨好紅, 發炎, 你個女有冇呀?  
祝所有小朋友都身體健康, 一有病, 大人同細路都一樣咁辛苦! :cry:

唉... Darren 上星期都沒有上學，都係發燒和肚瀉，都唔明點解小朋友多數半夜或臨天光才發燒，仲要係38度 above 那隻，day time 就無事，又瘦左了，只得 36 磅。

今朝出了門口突然要 ng ng，完事後都趕不及校車，要搭 KCR, 不過仔仔好高興可以搭火車返學！ 跟他講要跟住姐姐，不要亂跑，他反而同我講: 『唔講喇媽媽，我趕時間呀要返學呀！』 我就千叮萬囑吩咐工人 '係唔趕時間，不用急，遲到無問題！'

之前我未試過幫Cherrie戒奶樽,因怕佢以後唔肯飲奶!但早兩日開始佢無端端唔用奶樽飲奶而轉用杯+飲管,原來係老師話小朋友大個就要用杯杯飲奶,所以佢就好聽話咁戒o左奶樽!真係老師講一句,好過我講十句!老師真抵讚!

sc phonic好夠, 開學時會有教材輔助家長響屋企同佢溫(不過我都冇同佢溫過), 我覺得sc英文真係坊間傳聞真係好好, 如果唔係要求太高, 基本上讀sc都唔洗再為佢既英文操心, 所以我而家開始比個仔補普通話

到現在為止學校無特別要求我地做d咩去配合, 只派咗一隻phonic CD俾家長聽, 教我地同小朋友溫26個字母發音!
