Re: HK Preschool - Royal Ascot
To Sandy,
Boys generally talk a lot later than girls. Not just you, but I was worrieda about Pui Pui too initially because girls were meant to talk more. But then at 2 years old, she started babbling so much but no where near the level of other girls her age (I think, not sure).
In Sydney, we dont' expect children at this age to talk so much.
I have this friend. His mum said that he didn't speak until he was 3 and she was soooo worried. But now, goodness me, he talks very well and as much as a female.
Hay Hay is probably busy developing his other skills and don't feel the need to talk yet.
My cousin's son who's born in March 2004 cannot talk either. He just loves to play and play - very active, I must say. He can even run up and down the threadmill.
Re reading scheme: I hope Pui Pui doesn't bring back the same Chinese book again this week. It's too hard for me. I bet she's going to say those animals in English and will get another week
Thanks for all replies regarding keeping children warm at night. I will try to adopt those ideas and will also see if a humidifier/air purifier would help as well. Sometimes her stuffy nose makes her snore and it makes me worry.
To Joey,
Thanks for your input about Disney. My british friend said, "Not as fun for kids as Ocean Park" but given your latest input, I think we'll take Pui Pui.
We're going to go to China this weekend. We are taking Pui Pui to a zoo that allows us to drive the car through. And also I heard there's a butterfly farm. It'll be a busy weekend but I can't wait to go. Looks like this weekend is a zoo weekend for everyone, hee hee.
