Hayamama,
Haya met Kaka last week on the ground floor when went to school. Haya’s picture doll is very beautiful, Kaka is still drawing 火柴人.
Kaka knows haya classroom is in 2nd floor but didn’t know which room. Finally the teacher gave it to her.

請問,我的女兒今年9月上K2,已考上創價和聖羅撒, 我應該選誰?
如果不屬於34校網又無宗教信仰(只有15分)，可否升入聖羅撒小學？

Hi, eeyore2002,

I don't know about 創價, so can't compare these 2 schools for you.

Regarding your 2nd question, 15 marks will have chance to lucky draw in the 1st round no matter your girl study in St. Rose or not. Since you are not in the net 34, then the chance for 2nd round will be lower as you will have only chance in part A.  If you do not choose St. Rose KG, then there will be no chance for the 3rd Round.

Therefore, if you set your mind to make St. Rose Primary your choice for your girl, then, it will be better to choose St. Rose instead of 創價, as this will enable you to have the 3rd Round if you failed in the 1st and 2nd round.  But, please bear in mind that the school does not promise that they will accept all their kinders in the 3rd round as this is also limited by the number of seats available and the uncertainty regarding the number of kinders who will knock door in the 3rd round.  However, they will promise to at least give their kinders a chance for interview in the primary section.  So the chances in 3rd round will go back to the girls themselves as this will base on their performance during interview.

我囡囡都見到有進步，現在做功課不用我太勞氣，還會叫我檢查有冇边個字寫得唔靚要擦。最近兩次中文字功課仲可以有四個印仔呢！

彤彤上個月本手冊終於都全部tick 哂了!!  其實嗅豬由k1至k2上學期都係衰在 " 未能表達自己 " 果一項, 個個月都係1 tick 1 點的, 所以我幾佩服 K1 & K2的兩位老師, 佢地大家都能看透這點.   Yeah!!!

我囡囡比以前都乖咗,自己做功課,d字寫得唔靚,佢自動擦過再寫過,比以前無咁固執。不過囡囡仲有情緒問題,希望佢慢慢有改善。本應參加咗我之前提及既親子情緒問題課程,但不足人數開不成班。你地有無資料或課程關於情緒問題可以參考。

我以為blueberry只係對眼睛好,原來有咁多好處,我囡囡都有食,佢通常每日食幾粒,我係在supermarket買乾果隻,都唔平,一包要30幾蚊,唔係好多粒,不過起碼好過買其他糖果,囡囡又好鍾意食。

暑假渡假營兩日一夜 (22/7-23/7),今個星期五前要申請,仲有無人想報名。

不過我都想問吓我地有無K3家長係到,因為明年Haya會上K3了,但將會變為下午班...
我想問吓边位家長可以分享吓轉下午班之後嘅改變?  
做啲咩嘢可以幫讓小朋友去早啲適應呢?
午睡是否要介除or壓後?
做功課控制時間有困難嗎?
請大家分享吓...!

Hi, Hayamama,

我去年也是K3家長呀！時間表大約如下 :
8:00 am - get up, breakfast
AM after wake up - they will play or watch TV.  Normally, they watch eTV.
11:15 am -  my maid will prepare the lunch
11:45 am - 12:15 pm - Lunch
12:20 - 12:40 pm - change uniform, set the hair and get ready for school bus.  (I have 2 kids, so I need a bit more time on this.)
12:40 pm - go to wait for the school bus.  (My route pick up time is around 12:45 pm.)
5:10 pm - return from school.
Get change and eat something light.
5:30 - 6:00 pm - do homework
6:00 - 6:30 pm - bath time
7:00 pm - Dinner
After dinner, again, they will watch TV and play for a while.  Then bed time.  In the past, my girls will go to bed around 11:00 pm.  (If there is dictation on the next morning, then revision at night.)

午睡一定要戒，可以在暑假時調整起牀時間至上午八時左右。因要遷就校車時間，所以午餐時間大約在正午，如太遲吃早餐的話午餐會吃得少，很快會肚餓。

K3開始要自己帶茶點，可以預備一些小朋友愛吃又飽肚的食物。例如蛋糕、麵包。

功課方面不用擔心，好似跟現在的安排一樣。即星期一、三中文，二、四英文...不過量會多了些。中文要寫句子，下學期要做仿句。英文也要寫句子。但應該在半小時內可完成的。

另，K3下學開始會有中、英文默書。應該由默生字開始，跟着是詞語，最後會是短句。還會開始學寫手冊。畢業前會安排她們到小學部認識一下課室的環境,設施及小學生活。

這些林修女會在K3家長會上提及的。

I think my daughter's schedule will be most likely as yours.  I have asked my daughter to dictate the words which she has learnt.  I hope she can easy to catch up in K3.

Hayamama,
KaKa doesn’t take nap for a few months because she likes to play. Now she wakes up at 7:30am, play in the afternoon then sleep around 9:00pm. If she sleeps late that night e.g. after 10:30pm then will take a nap in the next day.
It’s not difficult for the kids to adjust the time but as Amy said it’s better to train them in the summer time. When she gets use to it, it will be easier when the new term starts.
I only afraid that cannot see her if I get off from work too late.

Amy, thx for the info; it’s good to know about the dictation in K3.

Hi All,
She asks me interesting questions these days about marriage and dating. ‘Boys likes girls at the beginning or girls likes boys’  Do you experience this? Teacher said it’s normal is their age.
