其實，身在香港這個市僧社會
又有那一個孩子不會在成長中受「薰陶」？
在甚麼學校都會有這樣情況
只不過因為CKY現正積極建校籌款
令孩子們接觸了「＄」的機會多了（而且係「萬萬」聲）
加上校方是以不同獎項鼓勵孩子進取
所以容易令孩子在各方面，包括以金錢作比較

我孩子說起某某家長捐幾多萬時
也會說：「XX(學生)屋企好有錢架！」
奇怪是，我孩子又怎知XX屋企好有錢呢？
我相信校方不會向孩子們宣傳某某的捐款作為Benchmarking
但孩子互相之間吹噓實在難免
做父母的，就必須要指導孩子正確的價值觀了

我因工作的關係，與政府各大部門經常接觸
政府的施政思維方式，主要是要行政方便，唔好背鑊
在教育方面，總之人人有書讀
總之我年年有好數據，幾多%派到頭三志願就向市民交功課了
那管你派去那一間學校呢
你不讀政府學校是你的事，與政府何關呢？

補充：

有一次坐的士
收音機正訪問FS有關徵收銷售稅的諮詢
（我個人是不贊成開徵銷售稅）
的士司機說：「開徵銷售稅，我地的小市民就慘啦！」
我說：「我同意你的講法，不過我想問，你有冇交稅架？」
的士司機說：「我地租車既，日搵日清，邊有錢交稅丫！」
我說：「司機大佬，你依家用緊的馬路，是政府起的和維修的，你唔交稅，政府又點維修？冇馬路，你地又點搵食呢？」
的士司機說：「d有錢人搵咁多，交多d稅都應該家嘛！」

香港有大約二百萬勞動人口，交稅的是少過一半
既有大半「奉旨」食政府的人
你估政府會唔會得罪呢班大半數？
有咩事，就只會向我們中產開刀啦

政府的行政思維和的士司機一樣：
「你地有錢，有得選擇，派唔好咪讀私校囉！」

1.政府剝奪家長選擇教學語言的權利
2.政府的一條龍政策前後/自相茅盾
3.政府在教育資源(如師生比例)未提高的情況下擴闊收生差異
4.我們的孩子不是個電腦隨機號碼

understood what you mean.  Txs for clarification and I do agree w/ u!!  Believe that our kids are very smart and could start to learn the value of $$$ easily.

我從來不會追求甚麼名校
幾年前孩子考入數間「名校」
其中一間是當時36.com選出最受家長歡迎的名校
但我對該傳統教學的學校印象甚差
最後還是選了一間當時「講出來都冇咩人識」的CKY
（仲係最貴果間……）
我心儀的政府學校是區內一間活動教學的學校
結果攪珠不中，就「疊埋心水」去CKY啦

朋友對我說CKY成為十大名校
我聽過就算了，也沒有去深究
這些調查和研究，真係視乎questionnaire的「引導答案」､出版人的目的和讀者profile而不同
（有冇人相信政府的三個調查報告說：私人機構在過去一年加薪5%丫）

不過，因為見到家長們因為我的發言而討論
所以便向朋友求證一下
他說《學前教育雜誌》，忘了是今期還是上一期
推薦CKY為十間「好學校」之一
有興趣的家長可以去翻閱一下

Even now, I don't think CKY would be voted as a top 10 school.  But I agree with Kunggi's view that it might not be a consideration for some CKY parents - otherwise, they are likely to opt for other, more popular schools.

Some people would consider our kids at CKY as guinea pigs as the 'results' are yet to see.  True that it might take at least another five or six years to prove it.  Now that a year has gone, I'm happy with my kid's growth so far at CKY.  In fact, I did note that some of his classmates are doing great too.  This is especially so when it comes to learning languages.  I guess their spoken levels are (if not above) on a par with some of the elite schools, their writing skills might not be as good though.  Well, they have four more years to hone their skills in preparation for the Y5 thesis.

P.S.  Fair to say that CKY is among the top 10 in terms of fees for non-international schools.

小兒也會在九月讀一年級,請問這條線是直接從東九龍到天后的校舍嗎?車費多少?我聯絡學校的校巴服務公司盛開,他們說暫沒有路線確定是直接到天后的,還說最遲要8月中才有最後定案?各位可有最新消息?

If you're really interested in CKY, you can browse through this thread (well, it takes time but you'd find it's worth your time).  Not only will you find the interview format in the past, you will also find out whether this school is suitable to your kid.
Mind you that the Y1 interview format might change.  Suggest you attend the Y1 briefing sessions for details.
