I didn't ask this question (actually the english teacher doesn't ask me do I have any question at the end of our conversation.)  But according to CKY's site the last call for 2nd interview will be on 30/nov.

Actually I just looked as well on the website but the last interview date of 30 Nov is for the P1-P6 interviews for this year not for P1 entry next year.  So any ideas anyone please....

I've just called CKY and they said the Nov 30 only applies to current P2-p6 not for coming 2007 p1 and the staff said they will still call people for interview up to Dec 15.  By the way there's no new list for them to call today has to wait until next week.

I have asked the staff who received us today as well as the teacher who met the parents.  Both of them said they don't know if they would continue to call for 2nd interviews as the decision rests with the principal, but one thing is sure that we will receive the results from school by 15 Dec.  

So I guess there still be chances in the coming week.  Hope you'll get a call soon, good luck!!!

We have finished the interview today.  My son just briefly told me that he had read a story to Principal Lau and he has answered some questions from the Principal as well...just similarly to what you've mentioned.  Thanks again for your sharing.   

As for the parents part, the teacher mainly checked the birth cert and school reports and then told us two messages regarding the removal in Jan and the music camp in Jul.  But I noticed that they did seriously make some notes on the name list after they met each parent.  I think they are tasked to do so and some marks may count...  

Anyway, just take a break, relax and wait for the result.  Good luck to you all!!!

Thanks for your clarification.  It's really a good news to me as we did not perform well in this part as my son was still with us when we met the teacher and he did not answer the teacher's questions...

Glad that your son's 2nd in went on well and the format is rather similar with us,which means he was prepared for that. Agree with u about the teacher's marking on the name list, we do believe they have a task of giving some scores about the parents. My friend did not bring his husband and the teacher already mark something on the name list...

But frankly, he's comparatively weak in story-telling...

no call this week.  I called the school last Friday and they said the 2nd round in have been completed now.... :cry:  :cry:

Don't upset and as long as you keep in touch/aware this school, sometimes later there always has the chance to get in. The most important question is the school really will suit your need and what's the parent support you can afford(I don't mean private tutor but your time for spending with kids). Every family did has its character and the school now are just to match the right one.

I'm sure my son's character matches the school.  It's same type of interview techniques as that used for TSL which my boy has been accepted for.  It's just that he was not on form that day.  Anyway, have sent in a letter to the principal and see if she will give any reply......

try send letter to the principal telling her how much your kid likes the school and see if there is any response.  Did your kid get into any other school?

Dear siubabe,

If your kid really enjoy music, ICQM may be a good choice. CKY's emphasis is not that much on this aspect (kids play just for enjoyment). I agree if you really interest in CKY, you can send letter to the principal. Although the drop out rate is low in recent year, there's still chance as they will move to the new temp. campus by Jan.,07 and may be some rooms for expanding.

Don't get upset, I believe if u write a letter to the head principal, there will be chances at the end. Imagine, they are still interviewing kids for other grades now....your effort will be paid off.

Agree with you that if TSL accept yr boy, he should fit into CKY. My girl got accepted by TSL and hope she will be okay for CKY 2nd in.

Lots of good luck to your son. Hope my girl and your boy can both be accepted at the end.
