Hi all,

Just wish to share my experience in researching the most suitable Pre-nursery for my son, Him Him.  Him Him was born in Feb05 and I am thinking of sending him to full day nursery.  So far, I have visited YWCA Shui Pong and Yan Oi Tong West Kowloon Nursery.  Both principals showed their enthusiasm towards teaching these little monsters.  In terms of the enviornment, I think Shiu Pong is a bit better because they are more spacious and there is an outdoor playground where the children can do exericse.  However, Shiu Pong is less convenient for us because we live in Mei Foo.  If I ask my maid to take my boy to school, they will need to take the MTR and then walk for 8-10mins.  On the other hand, Yan Oi Tong is located right beside Kowloon station and there are covered pavements.

Anyway, I am not sure whether my boy will be admitted and if he does we will then decide which one to go for.

其實知道老師對小朋友有無愛心，我諗要睇下d小朋友對老師既反應，好似我地d小朋友係街見到老師會好開心，又或者妳同老師傾計時，佢可以分享到佢既經驗，不過真係要讀左先知，因為妳見個個未必係阿b既班主任ma!係咪!

我會俾bb讀九龍塘同紅磡既學校，不過我而家係全職mummy，所以唔會同佢搭校車。

sorry for my late reply. Yes. I do heard about that course. The comment is quite good and they have many centres. They will make the similar ages with same group. I want to join their PG, but it is too far for me to come during weekend as i live in New Territeries but work at TST. Some of my friends join the PG at Kwun Tong centre with self-group. If you are interested, you may go to their web-site for details.

我囡囡在紹邦每星期上一課 pg, 感覺不錯, 老師也和藹可親. 地方整潔.  應該會讓她繼續玩.

另, 最近去了何文田Victoria参觀, 地方有11,000呎, 8個classrooms, 中間有一個約600呎的playground, 因為第一次參觀kindergarden, 冇得比較, 佢地pn班只有英文及廣東話班, 每星期有約40分鐘時間學普通話.  學費連雜費要三千餘至四千餘元 (只有半日班).

Since my son is also born in Feb 2005.  He is now studying the playgp at YMCA, TST.  Well, so far so good.  But now I wish to look for a nursery for him since he can only speak a few words at this moment.  Have you heard of St. Paul nursery, they are having a full day for kids.  Pls. share with me if you have collected any other info about the nursery and also their application date.

Is it difficult to enter Victoria and when is their application period?

i don't think i didn'tl consider st paul because its too far away from home.  sorry i hv no info about this school.

for shiu pong nursery, i have received their notice to put my little boy on waiting list.  not sure whether he will be admitted though.

今日去左紅磡海逸康傑open day, 佢地學校都好大, 最深印象係校長同老師個個都好nice同愛心, 佢地仲抱左芷霖去玩, 亞女玩得好開心, 離開搭車時即刻好滿足咁瞓覺。

佢地係國際學校, 每班由外籍老師做班主任, 主要分(英文+普通話)及(英文+日文)兩種班。

我入左表, 到interview睇下佢地收唔收再諗

請問海逸康傑 和 漁人碼頭學之園有分別嗎? 它們都是在 hunghom的國際幼稚園, 而學費又相約.  海逸康傑的帥生比例如何? 你有海逸康傑website嗎?  有朋友告知師生比例是很重要的考慮因素, 因她的囝囝入了銅鑼灣靈亮堂 (聽說很難入的), 師生比例是1:12, 已比政府規定低, 每班有36人, 每個老師要全權負責12個學生包括教授, 清潔, 安全...等. 已疲於奔命而減少了熱誠和耐性.  

我的朋友告知Victoria 2006的畢業生有約18%入番Victoria 小學, 而其次是St Joseph's Primary School, 好似較多升上國際小學.

大家認為九龍塘的劍鳴, 迦南, 芳芳幼稚園如何呢? 聽說有PN班.

我同事個囡係上普通班, 即中英各一老師, 比例1:10 , 另, 還有國際班, 即普通話及英文, 全班有30人, 即3個老師. 普通班是沒有普通話學的.  環境她說OK. 學費是3千餘.  因為只上了2星期, 不清楚有沒有功課.  但小朋友哭了2個多星期便適應了.  至於, 有否外籍老師, 我忘了問, 下次再告訴你.   

你有什麼"心水"呢?   大家交流吓...
