Cannan starts their tennancy agreement from September, so Pui Yen can operate until end of July.

For other arrangement, the nursery will announce later after the liaison with Cannan.

So that's why the director of the nursery needs to liaise with them.  The worst case would be, 各行各路.

If I have money, I do want to purchase the whole building to solve the problem now we are facing.  I always think, do we still have hope ?  Is there any miracle ?  Will Cannan give up renting this place ?    Maybe I am too stubborn to accept this cruel fact.

Actually, I'd spend 3 hours to draft the letter to the board members of Hong Kong Baptist Hospital for their support, but this letter will never reach them because of Cannan's action.  May be I quote it here to share with all of you, at least as an epitaph of remembrance of Pui Yen.

浸會醫院各院董：
        
我們是培恩幼兒園 (以下簡稱培恩) 的一群家長。在上月二十八日晚上召開之特別家長會中，校監鍾傑強醫生代表  貴院董事會宣佈，培恩將於本學年結束後停辦。對此消息，我們表示極度震驚和遺憾。

        自一九八三年成立以來，培恩培育了一群又一群健康活潑、快樂、自信、有紀律、有愛心、有責任感的好孩子。真正認識培恩的人都會認同，培恩的孩子的確是與別不同的。他們的眼晴往往閃著光采，對世界充滿好奇，且樂於與人接觸、交談、分享自己。

        為何培恩的孩子會是這樣? 因為他們都活在一個充滿愛的環境當中。無論上至校長、老師，下至嬸嬸，她們都秉承培恩愛的教育、全人關懷的教育理念，讓孩子能在愛心及鼓勵下成長。我們家長就親眼見過不少情緒或行為有問題，或是有社交障礙的孩子，在老師悉心的關懷和引導下，能慢慢改變過來，最終均能趕上同齡孩子的發展。 (註一)

        培恩這種愛的氣氛，不是強迫或裝出來的，而是因著薪火相傳、生命影響生命，積累而成並植根下來的良好傳統。這種愛的力量，甚至不曾因一次又一次的減薪而磨滅過。敢問各位董事，這樣優質的教育、優良的傳統，請問可在香港哪所幼兒園找到? 這樣的服侍，不正是與  貴院所經常強調「榮神益人」的宗旨相配合嗎?

        培恩對孩子的影響，如果要讓我們家長親身分享，恐怕十個小時也未能說完。可是 貴董事會一聲令下，就要將這一切一切劃上句號。一所由不少老師、校長，花了廿多年心血建立、有口碑 (註二) 、有建樹、在幼兒教育界絕無僅有的幼兒園，就此就要從香港消失，你們說能讓家長不感到痛心與憤慨(好些家長甚至流下淚來，情境與五年前完全一樣)，震驚和徬徨嗎?

        誠然，培恩現在的確面對經營上的困難。以往培恩好比一所溫室中成長的花，它有合適的環境 (鄰近浸會醫院及大學)、有充足的養份 (穩健的財政狀況及穩定的人事更替)及有適當的灌溉 (源源不絕的生源)， 以致花開得燦爛且能結果纍纍。但五年前倉卒地被移離溫室，在沒有心理準備下，一下子未能適應外面風吹雨打的世界。更不幸的是，並未站穩陣腳，已要面對經濟下滑、出生率下降、沙士等重重打擊。加上沒有儲備金，宣傳及其他方面的發展均未能完善以致順利開展。

        我們相信，沒有人在生命中都是一帆風順的，總會碰上或大或小的危機。遇上危機，不代表就要放棄，就要投降。現在正逢經濟穩步上升、2005年出生率為97年以來最高等契機；加上家長同心救校 (有超過一半家長承諾轉回全日制，大部份家長亦承諾向親友推介此校)並提出多方面的改善建議 (註三) ；兼且來年已收到約30份報名表及仍繼續收到不少來電查詢；我們確信培恩是會否極泰來的。

        從來錦上添花易，雪中送炭難。別人遇上困難或危機時能扶上一把，是美德，也是自己的福氣。在姊妹機構來說，更是一份責任。現在業主已由堅持不減租軟化至可商議。以商業掛帥的業主尚能給我們一線生機，何況一向以來是我們伙伴的你們?

        在此，我們培恩前途關注小組強烈要求能與各院董見面，陳述我們的心聲。由於我們承諾過家長，無論如何，3月尾我們會通知他們有關決定，方便他們有所進退 (特別是N2班家長，他們現正如熱鍋上的螞蟻)。所以我們希望兩星期內能安排跟  貴院院董會面 (三月廿二日前)，並希望你們在掌握更充份的資料後能重新考慮停辦培恩的決定。

學校幾時會有宣佈？

如果是"合併"，可能仲會保留多啲培恩嘅"傳統"；如果只是用番舊址開迦南，恐怕校政校風都大為不同。

The Board of Pui Yen is going to meet with Cannan & negotiating all the details.  Announcement will come very soon once the situation becomes clear.

迦南方式 is not so bad as per my friend which her son was study there before..of course it can't compare with Pui Yen, but it not so worse and my friend was recommend Cannan to me before I choose Pui Yen...anyway if 老師留番, I think it will be great!!

I attended the meeting in Pui Yen last night.  I feel very sad because I knew that there will not be any turning point in Pui Yen.   I just want to say thank you to all the teachers and staff of Pui Yen for their proficiency of teaching and good caring of my son in the last few years.  Pui Yen has really brought a lot of good time and good memories to my son and my family.

Thanks to you all.  No matter how the result is now, we can say we have tried our best to save this lovely nursery.  st610894, just as you said, we will embrace the precious memory with this nursery in our lives.  I will never forget Pui Yen and what the teachers had done in my sons' lives.

I have opened a new topic in '小學雜談' called '悼培恩幼兒園'.  I hope you can write your feelings about this school for remembrance.  I will suggest the principal to print it out to all the parents during the graduation ceremony in July as a collective memory of this lovely nursery.

My middle son will still keep studying in Cannan for the coming year because he is N2 already, I don't want him to adapt to a new environment in such a short period.  However, for my youngest son, who has not yet go to school now, will not go to Cannan.
