Re: 教師的工資是否偏高?
Absolutely agree with you!I support the reforms to kick away those poorly-performed teachers. Without the accountability, transparency and market pressure brought about from the reforms, band-six teachers can still be hidden well behind the beautiful curtains.
I was a graduate of a so-called famous girls' school in Kln (now is a very popular DSS), I just want to share with you bk parents that:
1) The Eng standard of some Eng lang teachers was awful (they could not even accurately pronounce the word "choir", but taught students to read as "choi-er" ...they could teach the students to spell "shinning" instead of "shining"....! What made me sad is that even in those so-called famous schools like mine, this kind of sub-standard teachers could still survive to teach Eng lang for more than 20 years! These Eng teachers of course should be kicked out asap.
2) in 90% of my music lessons, students were requested just to sit down to copy a sheet of music notes (I should tell u that photocopying machine had been invented already for twenty yrs at that time, but we poor students still had to spend 40 min to"photocopy" a sheet of music to "kill time".) The teacher who had taught this subject for more than 20 years at this school disappeared for every lesson! I was just "lucky enough" to have learned 5-6 songs in the whole secondary school years!More to share.
I am not exaggerating, but just eagar to share these iceberg bits with bk parents, and re-iterate that the reforms should be continued for the goodness of our kids' future--at no compromise! |
