no any special credit.........as i know a real case that a boy can't get a seat even his elder brother currently studing in SFA.

咁先至確保完全公平，家姐叻唔代表細佬一定叻，私校應該尊重呢個規則，this is the major difference from the govt allocation system, and me, as a parent, appreciate this rather than the govt one.

咁唔叫公平，叫考慮不周詳，不以人為本，試想吓，两兄弟姐妹入唔同學幾唔方便。

很多學校如男拔、女拔都有分給兄弟姐妹，甚至舊生，我想SFA都有，如果沒有，就太不近人情了。

1.小朋友的哥哥及姐姐都在kts 就讀, 他媽媽比較熟悉kts 的教學及運作, 較易follow
2.小朋友是較active, 但smart, 喜歡計數及科學知識, 但絕不是坐定定唔出聲o個類

By the way, which level is your boy? P.3? Someone said P.2 promoted to P.3 is a big jump, the syllabus goes very difficult suddenly (English grammar and tenses). I am scared before the new school year comes!

Will SFA offer any summer school before the start of new school year (for the new students to prepare for primary syllabus)? Kowloon Tong Primary School also requests new students to attend summer school?

Yes, SFA offers P.1 preparatory class in every Summer which lasts for 2 week.  In fact, it does not cover much of the academic syllabus.  It is run by the St. Francis Assisi's Church (next to SFA).  They teach the general discipline, copy handbook practice, Recess etc

I have some reservations on this school based on the following observations:

(1) The school expects an extremely-high drop-out rate of (280-180)/280 = 36%, i.e. slightly one out of three offers will be rejected.

(2) The school environment, in particular, outside the school, is pretty lousy.

(3) The arrangement on the interview day aims too much at "show-off" the English standard of their teachers and students. In particular, the public annoucement (PA) is on forever, repeating the same contents again and again and again.. Really wants to know will that interfere with the students taking the test in the classroom.

(4) I tried to ask one staff (I think he is not a teacher) for the possible use of their toilet for my kid right after the interview (which took about 1 hour). The reply is extremely unfriendly that they have been instructed to not "lending" the toliet to students (their potential customers). I felt upset and asked him why. The answer is even more rude: that will make their toilet dirty.

Having said that, very likely (as i did not check) my kid has not been admitted. But we have removed this school from our list right after the interview. Besides, we have got the first choice in the 1st round central allocation.

Just my 2 cents.

Having said that, it is indeed a good primary school.

一啲都唔高，考SFA的學生，平均每人都最少考3-4家私小直資，而聰明之學生，很多學校都收，加上津校，所以36%drop-out rate 一啲都唔高。

另一角度，俾你睇佢地係唔係有料，有甚麽不好。

幾天前讀信報文化版，得悉柏林愛樂之歷圖爵士在演出完第二日，来到蓮香樓嘆點心(那是一間保留着痰盂和搭枱之傳统酒樓，四周環境和toilet自然不新凈)。歷圖透露，出發前，酒店中人都奉勸他到别處品茗。结果，歷圖還是到蓮香，而且很享受。

如果歷圖心中只有一篤尿，他會到蓮香嗎？

學校是唔會寄reject的信，你可以試吓打電話比sfa問吓！

There are many good comments and bad comments about the school. Indeed my son is studying in this school (P1) and last year, I've got the same experience as yours. Yet, my son entered into the school finally because we didn't have a better choice, we were not lucky enough as to get a seat in good school from central allocation. At first, I have no feeling about the school, but I found my son studies so well now and he loves the school. What can you say if your son / daughter loves the school? I am now sharing the joy of having a good school for my son.
