Re: 對 德 望 學 校 政 策 的 不 滿
Dear shrek123,
Thanks for your opinion.
However, I did not agree with you in a few aspects.
Firstly, we did not try to defend our school blindly and not to accept any criticisms. In fact, if you had read my writing, you would notice that I did mention some inadequacies of the school and tried to make some suggestions to solve the problems. What I felt was that those problems were not big ones, at least not big enough to make someone to consider changing the school for their daughters.
Secondly, as you are only a potential P1 parent, you may not have the chance yet to realize the change of your daughter after stugying in the school, like what I do. My daughter becomes more independent, more eager to learn, and more brave (she bursts into tears quite easily in the past).
Thirdly, we are not without choices. My daughter was accepted by 3 famous private primary schools (at least some people think that they are)last year.
Why I choose Good Hope is that I understand the teaching format (which I prefer to make my daughter stonger), I see the results of their teaching (some of my colleagues, juniors & junior classmate in the university were Good Hope graduates). Moreover, we will not have great difficulty to change to another school nowadays as what Lovelymama said. So actually it is that I want to let my daughter to stay in this school instead of being no choices.
Forthly, over-defend is not good to the school, I agree. But making too many negative comments without trying the best to solve problems; always thinks in a very negative way & avoid the problem instead of facing it are also no good. These will set a very bad examples to our next generation, I guess.
Lastly, I always think that if we do not love the school, how can we ask our daughters to love their school. (Just like if we do not love our daughter, how can we ask them to love us)
Sorry for the disagreements with you.
Best wishes. |
