我個女10月才夠3歲, 已報了七月親子班和八月半日班, 真想快些上學, 本來2歲已在九龍塘某幼稚園上Nursery點知四月中在學校穿頭連了三針,老師為著空氣流通而打開一隻通往後花園的鋁門,她跌在地上後腦撞向門邊而穿頭. 爸爸極之心痛不讓她上學,現在變得十分依賴,怕羞. 最怕上學時像當初上Nursery時哭足一個星期就慘. :cry:

請問祟真的安全設備足夠嗎? 老師是否以小朋友安全為首呢?如上一個留言,我女在Nursery時因學校疏忽而穿頭,所以我十分擔心. 當然小朋友跌跌撞撞實有,但因為疏忽而令小朋友受傷就十分嚴重.

Hi ccll,

Knowing your son will study at TTPS for P1, is it main stream or Int'l class?  Please advise your thoughts in their primary school. As far as I know that for Eng, native Eng speaker will teach the oral & story reading, whereas the Chinese teacher will take care of grammer and sentence structure.  What do you think it is good or not?  Tks.

My son is in TTK for Int'l class.  I'm thinking about main stream or int'l class for Primary but to be honest, their int'l Primary is quite expensive at about HKD5,000 for tution only.  And I worry about their Int'l Secondary.  Not sure whether they are good or not.  Please share your opinion.  Tks.

Sorry for late reply.My son will study in main stream class.I think it is good that the chinese teacher teach about the grammer rather than native english teacher,so the kids will understand it easily.
And I know more parents who will plan to send their kids to study overseas,then they will perfer study in int'l class which the syllabus is connect with foreign countries,or the kids who come back from overseas,then they will choose these class.
So for my opinion,if u have not any plan to send kids to overseas,then u may be consider again ,since as I know ,only chinese,english and math are same syllabus can coonect with the local secondary.

Yeap, I do agree with you.  Since I do not have any plan to send my son to study overseas, it's much better for him to take the main stream P1.  And I do believe that teaching grammer by chinese teacher is much better and helpful for kids.
Is TTPS an English Primary School?  As far as I remembered that principal told me that only Maths and Chinese are teaching in cantonese.  Others are in Eng, am I right?
Actually I do have confidence in TTPS, cos' I'm planning to let my son staying at TTPS.  And I'll keep close checking on its Tsung Tsin Secondary School at Lai Chi Kok since this is their first year.
See, it's so hard and difficult to be a good mother!

THese a some information of TT primary school,and hope can help u:

CHINESE:     use普通話(但在P.1 剛開始時不會即時用)
ENGLISH:   1,READING,ORAL---外籍老師
                       2,GRAMMAR---本地老師(cantonese+eng)
MATH:          有中,英2本書,(cantonese+eng)
I.T.:             外籍老師
MUSIC:         本地老師+外籍老師
常識:            英文課本(cantonese + eng)
其他如ART,....(cantonese)
雖不是全英教授,但我like 用普通話学中文,(大多津校都未實行),另Math,常識,IT用英文書,可早點適应日後的英中,當然與其他 聖芳xx,拔x,华x,嗽x,玛利x,比,sure not same la,但對我來說,已覺不俗,(有時名牌效应,相對給予學生or 家长都会产生相当壓力)

Tks for yr detailed info which indeed very helpful.  Wow, it's so great to hear that TTP will use Mandarin for Chinese lesson.  And it seems that it is quite often that students can talk with native English teacher during the class.  To me, I don't like famous band 1 school cos' what I want is to let my son learning happily in a nice environment.  And so far TTK can meet my requirement.

Hello all TTP 05' K1 mommy,

My son is "little" boy, he will be 2 yrs & 8 months old only when he starts K1 in TTP.    I am a little bit worry cos he needs to take the school bus himself and he's a bit cranky, always want Mommy!   I am concern whether the Nanny can take good care of him cos there're so many kids in the same bus!   Does any TTP parent share the opinion or past experience on my concern?

Hello,

I got a phone call from the school  this morning and my son can be transfer to K1 am class also.  Tried to ask more details about the class code etc.. but the staff is just too busy.   They told me I can refer to the notice given at the registration date.    Anyway, will go on new student introduction date on 08/29 to get more details, I wish.   

By the way, anyone know for the 1st few days school, can the parent go to school together with the kids on school bus?   Or, I might need to hire a taxi following the school bus?   Just courious to check...

每年k.1的第一週(如無改)都是未有校車搭的,因學校鼓勵家长陪同返學,最初还可留在課室陪,等幼兒们都能適应,而放学時间會提早,約10-11am,若孩子無哭鬧,家长可在外面等。其实大多小朋友都很快会ok ga,老師會有她们的方法去令孩子們適应。
而校車方面一样,不用太worry,保姆们都很盡責的,孩子開始長大,是应該適當地放手,等他们嘗試不同的經驗。
我兒子由k.1已坐校車到現在k.3,以我所見,沒有小孩哭鬧多过一星期,(幸运地小兒k.1 時在學校或校車都未試过哭),最初不習慣是必然的,但一班小朋友很快就會熟絡,跟住就會好開心了。

no need to worry too much.  when my son was 2 only, I let him to take school bus to go to school for nursery.  in fact, he felt a bit sad when got on the school bus since he missed me.  however, he was happy and easy to cope with school life.  kids can manage themselves.

我上次註冊時見到d 學生響拉記睇書好專心呀!! 係咪個個都會係咁呀?? 因為我個女超唔鍾意睇書, 我都頭痕緊, 到時返學每個星期都會借本書返屋企都唔知佢肯唔肯睇.  好似d 學習風氣好好咁.

但我係擔心, 佢地咁細上落樓梯會唔會危險.  因為我個女仲未識好似大人咁落樓梯.

TTPS 係咪多數書都係英文呀?? 我見佢係英文小學...

崇真對閱讀的推广很積極的,上年延續親子閱讀計劃,又加開了一个"閱讀国樂"可入会有定期活动,而校方亦設立不同的奖勵,鼓勵學生閱讀,所以由kindegarten 開始至小學,啲閱讀风氣都唔錯既。
我想妳囡囡还小,可以先給她看她有興趣的書,等她慢慢習惯看書,而父母盡可能每日抽空同她說一个短故事,我相信妳的孩子久而久之就會like reading ga la(我在兒子2-3歲時就開始用这方法,ok ga)
而行樓梯方面,不用太worry,因老師和助教會很小心照顧他们,会要他們扶实手抦才上落的。
而書本方面,kindegarten 有3本英文書(phonic,oral,songs)rimary 方面,可看我之前post 过的介紹。
