I have asked my son's classmates mother.  She had commented that the standard of SC was higher and higher in the academic aspect but I haven't heard about the teacher's standard.  This might be fit the transition from K.3 to P.1.  Up till now, I don't feel any difference for my daughter and son.

我都覺得跟4 week plan好辛苦,但都要跟,因為同佢講得多先會識,到大D真係要上網查先OK架。另外,中文字卡要同佢係屋企溫習先識架,好在D字卡咁得意。

I think you can start with speaking English/read english book with your son every day for 15 minutes so he can get use to it.  For Chinese word, i just play the word card with him few times a week.  My son likes flash card, so he picks up quickly on words.
every kids have drawback.  my son is slow in fine motor skills and lack of independence, so I spend time with him everynight to teach him coloring/sticking things and even need to teach to tear paper.
We just all work hard and try to improve their weakness!

Ai..., my boy told me three times that need to bring green object.  but I have doubt.  In the four weeks plan for both english/chinese....., I can't see they are going to teach Green color in this month.

Yes, her name tab is blue! I also asked her whether she knows Clara or not and she replied yes!

Btw, Jasmine told me that she got tissue after going to the toilet!

Also, for this week, she said she needs to bring square!!!! @_@

Jasmine is brilliant.  She could tell you every week what to take to school.   Clara still tell me nothing require to bring to school.  

Meanwhile, Clara say sometimes she got tissue but sometimes not.  Maybe it's just Clara's problem.

Natalie星期日晚同我地話要帶車??? 漏夜放左架車貼左LABEL,點知放工返嚟見到架車係屋企,以為俾老師退番嚟,爸爸話係Natalie朝早攞番出嚟冇帶到番學!
夜晚問佢有冇同學仔帶左嘢番學,佢話有個男仔帶左架車番去,仲介紹佢架車,問佢點介紹,佢話同學話呢架車係我架!

又再放架車入書包,希望放工返去唔會見到架車啦

慢慢嚟啦,有3年普通話班主任。

我個女前兩日突然用普通話講「今天是2011年...月...」我想是老師每天在學校都講所以好返來會重覆~
