Comprehensive Review Report (2013)
Teachers are friendly, committed and supportive. They have a firm grasp of subject knowledge and pedagogy, with good preparation made before lessons. The lessons are, generally, well-organised with clear objectives.
Learning activities are well sequenced and properly paced to snit the students' needs and ability. Teachers are fluent in English, Putonghua or Cantonese, whichever is relevant to the medium of instruction specified for
the subjects. They are able to express themselves clearly and systematically.
Most students are attentive, interested and eager to learn. They are able to follow the teachers' instructions. They, generally, show a good command of English and Putonghua.
The school provides students with a good range of career-related experiences. Thoughtfully planned career guidance programmes for goal-setting, aptitude exploration, and the mentorship scheme co-organised with the "North Star Programme", are well in place. Commendable effort is also made to host a University Fair at the school with representatives from both local and overseas universities giving students first-hand information regarding further studies.
Students are, on the whole, pleasant, cooperative, well-behaved, self-discipline and socially competent. Most of them have the motivation to strive for improvement and excellence in their school work. They enjoy their school life, showing recognition of the school's learning atmosphere, and appreciation of their teachers' care and work. |
