Matthewdad

Dear All,
Please allow me to voice my opinion humbly.
As far as I see, DBS is very concerned about the boys' academic performance.
A lot of sportsmen are top of the class academically.
Besides, there are extra tuition classes, e.g. Maths classes for all boys. But the classes are not compulsory. The boys can choose to attend or not.
I think all school and parents should learn this spirit...the
boys are responsible for their own choice. They have to
make the decision and action to do well in both academic and extra-curricular activities.
I know a La salle Boy who is an athlete wants to join BDSPD next term.
HK is a free world !! We all treasure that.

I wonder if the competition is as keen in primary schools comparing to their secondary counterparts. I wouldn't consider a primary school student an athlete as well. In addition, I wonder if there's really a student willing to "transfer" to a rival school after being educated in LS. The only reason for that, which is still not very likely, is his parents' will instead of his own will. Besides, I think this could only happen in the primary school (if any) because I don't think anyone who's being educated in LSC will be willing to be such a shameless traitor. Likewise, I don't think the same would be happened in DBS as well.

Shameless traitor?

I must remind you that Hong Kong is a free place.  Everyone has the right to choose one's own school as long as one is accepted by the school.  We all treasure the freedom which is the key to success.
DBS is a place of freedom.  The students are proud of the freedom they enjoy in DBS.  They are more open-minded and indulged themselves being different.
It is common to "exchange students".
It is only your prejudice to conceive those who change school as "shameless traitor".  DBS and LS are not rival school as you stated in your passage.  Don't force others to agree with you !

Matthewdad, what a good dog! (Grade III)

Dear Daydream,
Can I take Matthewdad as my dog? I will let him have good dog's time.   He is a good dog I have ever seen. How wicked  his wordings, please let me know so that I can give him more trainings to become more wicked. This is my honour.

I am very sorry to be so rude but it is Matthewdad making me so angry!

Sorry to  make others embarrassed !

If you never studied in either DBS or LSC then you would never understand how much the students are loyal to their schools, the rivalry has been actually existing for decades and each school has been trying hard to improve itself to edge the other in every aspect. It's hard to make you understand the passion and loyalty of such students having inside their hearts towards their schools, however, it is true for most, if not all students, of both schools. That's why I don't see any student of either school who has been educated at his school for a certain period of time would choose to go to the rival school. In fact, I personally see the rivalry a good thing and I believe most students of LSC/DBS would admire their rival as well. The only thing I don't agree with is the way how DBS poaches the "finished products" athletes from other schools. Anyway, that's just my two cents and anyone could have a different view on it.

By the way, I don't think it's nice for a parent to attack another person like the way you did to matthewdad. While insulting the others, you are insulting yourself at the same time.

You are correct that he is in Primary section.
But you may be surprised that a lot of DBS and La salle Boys actually have known each other very well since primary level. It is because some of them are trained by the same coach at primary level. And they maybe in the same athletic club.
