My son bring "Noddy" VCD back to home, but he said only two boy order the VCD, but just watch and I think it is good for him.
Also bring a book fm school and notice that the reading programme start. add oil

Hi rmma,

You're just being nice to me.  In deed (to tell you secretly and don't let my boy know), he's not that smart.  He takes 2 hours to finish homework (now is improving).  He won't obey my instruction and tell me anything if I ask directly.  

My tricks to open his month are "Ask indirectly and while he is exciting or attracted to something".  For example, I will tell him my childhood best friends and how we played, and then ask him who his best friends are and how they play in school.  Tyr it, but it doesn't work every time though.

My son told me : "mami, mami, xxx 成日作怪"  (sorry I forget the Chinese name he mentioned), I wonder why he know '作怪', then he said, '舒老師話佢law, 不過佢真係好攪笑架.'

Also, after the Chinese and math dictation, my son said, '舒老師話佢輸左lu, 小朋友贏左, 因為全部小朋友都好叻 !' also '舒老師話垃圾桶成日都好肚餓架 !'

Sound funny and they learn happily !

Dear nattyma, sandwichmum and all other parents,

My son always write things reverse !  But I did do a little revision with him so he is lucky this time.

In these 2 days, he suddenly will mention 1 single sentence about what has happen at school but then no more.

He said yesterday 'I am getting more friends now !'  He sounds talking to himself rather than talking to me !

It is pity that we can't join the Halloween party, must be fun !

My son had one mistake in his dictation which he had written a reverse '7'.   
But I am very happy with the result as we did not do any revision.   
Like sng's son, my son seldom tells me the school stuffs. The only 2 things that he said were getting him the milk carton and the teacher called him BB which I don't think is a good sign.   BTW, the only classmate's name that he ever mention is Ko Wai Fung, did your boy tell u the same nameas well?
Oops, your son must be very excited about being the spiderman. The masked rider is my son's favorite . I hope the school will take photo for them and give us a copy afterward.

Yee K2 boys got their "Noddy" VCD already?

We've ordered too but not yet rec'd them.  Perhaps today will get.

Today is the 1st day of Eng. dictation this term and yesterday there was little homeword only (no writing) so I felt very      and asked my boy why so little homework.  Guess what he said?       He had a very cool facial expression and said 'do you think it is because we willhave Eng. dictation tomorrow??' <-- this is the exact wordings he used   

Hope he can do it well today lah (they need to spell words like 'lantern' 'write' 'read' 'sing', etc. not easy, right?)

U a right! My boy got frustration b4 as he did his handwriting bad that the classteacher earsed all his words. He had no time to play. So, now he tries to complete his assignement quickly. Add oil to all boys!

   I'm a working mother so not much time to do revision with my boy everyday.

SO I've delegated the job to my mother who lives with us for Chinese dictation and 菲傭姐姐for English dictation.  So far the results are satisfactory.  The only drawback is I quite scare that the 菲傭姐姐 will choose to return home sooner or later so I quite 買佢怕囉

Are you talking about the homework ?  My son has the highest record of 8 corrections in 1 Page !!! (teacher correct with red pen, write on top of his writing).  But seems he is not required to re-write again ?

Have you seen the Noddy VCD, mine has problem and need to change !

  Your boy is the youngest or elder one? My son is the younger one and no writing before K2 so his writing is  very urgly. Sometimes we are
disappointed for the result of the handwriting. we
thinkit is OK but still mark by Ms. He just improved after this summer. I think it is really need a time for them to adapt. I used the triangle pencil until now even the teacher say no need for him. But he really very urgly in writing like the storm before. Sometimes, I sensed he also unhappy for many circle in the homework but I can not do any more except to tell him more strainge ........... But the teacher will understand everything. They will know what you pay the effort .Just encourage him and try to train him to write the word like 水　because it include all 橫直 ，，，，later after he know

I'm now having my elder daughter to do the preparation of dictation for her brother.  I hope it can be worked.

Hi Sandwichmum,

I call the supplier directly.  I don't think the kinder will take care of this.  I mentioned I bought it through St Jo Kinder and I put the phone near the television, the lady can hear there is problem, seems like '跳線'。  But I have to go to Kwai Chung to change it !!!!

Unless many parents get the same problem then we may ask for kinder's help.  Otherwise  for 1 or 2 single case, I guess we have to solve it by ourselves.

埃！ (a big sigh) Theory and reality are 2 different worlds sometimes.  Even I mentioned / share some methods of helping the kids to build the volcabulary, it actually doesn't work in my case !  So I always tell the methods to my friend who has a daughter.  I believe the method is workable for those kid who has learning desire and initiative.  According to the examples I see, girls are more easy to teach at this age.

But for writing, I think the teacher will have their methods.  My methods are not workable for my son.  My son mentioned 'Ms Choy 話可以用神祕點幫架!"So I will leave this part for the teacher.
