I ordered The Joyful Vanguard (樂鋒報) and Vox Amica Pictorial (良友之聲) from the school.  It comes with 2 game books which I think it's a free gift. I also order the Noddy VCD, but still not yet receive it.

I remember the teacher told us during the parent's day that it's optional for us to let the kids to bring roses in red to school.  I also see the kids that in the school bus mostly brought red roses.  So, I suppose only red rose is allowed.

I ask my son but he seems to have no ideas on the empty milk carton.  So, I prepare nothing.  Maybe different class have different instruction.

Did you enjoy the night in Victoria Park? I also go there, but luckily it's one night after Mid Autumn Festival. People there not really too many.  We've a lot of fun especially the light show walk and in reading the Chinese poems though not really know all.

We went to the Park quite early, about 8:45 pm and there were not too many ppl on the grass, still were able to choose a nice place to sit down.  The weather was very good, cool with a bit wind, very nice atmosphere        

Honestly speaking, this is the 1st in my life, sitting down on the grass in Victoria Park in Mid-Autumn Festival night       Feeling better than my expectation.  Tks to my boy lah    If he didn't insist, I 'd never do such thing  :

Not really, my son doesn't even know what "dictation" is.  His mom needs to explain and gives examples.  Wish him luck.

  Thank you for your telling. I really not know the day. I will carry the rose during my son tell me to take. Is any one day in May & Oct? I can not image my son for the eng. dictation.

    The teacher had already write a memo for me to inform me the dictation scheduale. so that I know it. But it is the same scheduale of Wed for chinese, Thur for eng same as K2. Has any mistake for you or me ?

    Don't worry ' Diff class may have diff tools in the lession. In fact, I don't think to tell the detail explain for the 'dictation' It will give the pressure to the kid but we don't know. Just tell and studies the words. I think it is OK.

Really?  We have no memo/notes on dictation dates ah.     Which class your boy is in?

I remember in K2, Chinese dictation every Wednesday and English dictation every Friday bor    (or different classes even have different dictation days !!!   )

I find the Chinese words are also quite difficult.  My boy can write the words but not beautifully law

But I'm also not sure whether the eng dic is in Fri this year.
The Chinese words are really difficult (學校、功課)，so your boy knows how to write it is very good ga la, don't put your standard too high la.

But K2 (so far) seems very easy.  Is there a sudden change of the standard (much higher ) when go to K3 ?
