另Y姐,你係咪有朋友賣燒烤食物,會否由你預備 (YCT=>所有燒烤食物,飲品及用品由我負責),及請通知每個大人所要費用 (YCT=>要買晒圍條大數至知, 當日先通知)

每個家庭必需帶備一款小朋友零食或食物,份量必需足夠

是次活動費以人頭計,只計成人,12歲以下不收費
截止報名日期:30/11/2006

Sorry to bother you all here.

It's just coz...my boy is going to have an interview for HKPS playgroup next Saturday.  Just wondering whether you can kindly give me some advice on such as the interview mode, length, and questions which will be asked.

Thanks so much!!!!  Coz' I'm so nervous since one month ago...

Good afternoon, everyone.

Pui Pui won't be going to school today. She's sick yet again She had a fever all of last night and still had a bit of fever this morning (so much for the flu vaccine on Monday ) I took half a day off to take her to the drs and now I'm back at work.

Do we gather around outside preschool at 3pm? Hopefully, Pui Pui will be okay by then....if not, we'll still make the food and get the baking stuff ready for the kids

YCT, I cannot read Chinese but I saw something about the 3rd of December. Is that an outing or the BBQ you were talking about at your place? Looking forward to your answer

To Lamblamb, I can understand your nervousness. I was at the same stage a few months back. I'd say to just go with the flow. Our kids never do what we ask them to do anyway (mine didn't ). I cannot recall all of what happened in the interview but the teacher mainly talked to me rather than my little girl. My little girl was given some toys to play with and was asked a few simple questions. I think I was there for about 20 minutes. The teachers are usually quite fair and have been interviewing for years so they know that even the brightest kids may not always co-operate (I was given this advise by a friend of mine who's also a teacher). Good luck and I'm sure your child will do just fine

I can't remember how long the interview took, but it seems to be shorter than 5 minutes.  The teacher asked a few simple questions. e.g. she pointed at her eye and asked my daughter what it is.  My daughter answer none of the questions.  But she didn't cry all through the interview.  On the registration day, the principal told us that it's already good enough for a 1yr something old child not cry at such an interview.  So no need to bother too much about what the interviewer will ask. Just be natural and be relax.

How's pui pui?  Hope she'll get well soon......

I'd like to switch HH to am class next year as well.... you know, HH usually go into his room and get ready for sleep at 11:00pm.... it's usually 12:00am when he finally settled and sleep.... leaving me no personal time at all.... that's why I can only come here during office hours (like you) and seldom online at night

yes, we are going to YCT's house for BBQ on Dec 3 (1pm to 5pm, or later) .... wanna join?  Each family should bring a dish for kids and a present under $100 to exchange.  YCT will buy the food for us and then we'll share the cost.....

I remembered we had similar question last year and my HH did answer none of them.....so, just take it easy.... I did remember I have to fill in a questionaire during registration.  The questions (to the best that I could remember) included:  your expectation on the school, what will you do if your child told you that he's beaten by classmate, what do you think if the child get sick easily after going to school, what will you do if your child do something very wrong....... the teacher also asked us some questions during interview, like who take care of the child, what will you do with the child on holidays, did your child attend any playgroup etc.

If you really want to prepare for the interview, maybe you can think about these questions.....don't worry and GOOD LUCK

The BBW sounds like fun

We were supposed to go on holidays to Guangzhou that weekend - they have a street there full of Christmas stuff (we're planning to get a Santa outfit, a big tree and some decorations) but I'll see if I can delay that for one more week and attend the BBQ. I'll check with hubby tonight and will reply first thing Monday.

aprilbbb... actually till this day, I don't know whether or not it's a good school because I don't think we've all answered it here but initially I chose it because I heard it's a good school and its reputation is as good as those in Kowloon Tong.Whether or not this is true, I don't know, it's just what I've heard from a few friends. Kowloon Tong is too far for me and this is the furthest I would go for my little girl. However, what I do know is that I've made some really wonderful friends in this form/school that she's attending so I'm quite happy

For everyone needing to buy more winter uniforms, please do so quickly. I called to enquire about Pui Pui's uniform and they said that I need to wait 2 weeks now because they don't have stock. I bought the bare minimum and will now need to order more just in case I have to wait 2 weeks again. Yikes!!!
