Hi everybody

Do you know which primary schools the most getting into for girl if graduate from HKPS?

My target is only Marymount or some other DSS. The most famous schools, like St Paul Co-ed, DPSPD, DGSPD are not my cup of tea because of different levels.

I only want to have a good English environment in Kindy for my daughter because our family seldom speak in English with her.

According to my research, Marymount (in HK side) is activities-based, there is no exam for P1 to P3. My friend's daughter is studying in P2 and she feels very happy. Do you mention "Maryknoll" instead (in Kowloon Tong)?

Yes, there is no exam for P1 to P3 but there are quiz, dictation and test too!  The life in Marymount is not as easy as the one in 啟思 or any other IS.  But the girls are outstanding and the PTA in Marymount is excellant!  It has so many professionals--Prof. in HKU, lawyer, and so on...
Just curios that why you don't pick the KG in Hong Kong side?

What is PTA? Sorry for my silly question

Marymount is one of the Catholic Girl English Primary Schools without paying school fee. The other one is Maryknoll, but the competition of Maryknoll is too keen and many old girls' daughter will apply. I think that the chance to get into HK side's school should be higher.

Hi All,

Oh yes. I would go to pay the registration fee but not with my son!  He would go to music class with dad.

When will you be there?  Do you think we could go around/visit the campus tomorrow?   Actually, I've not yet toured around the whole campus and I really want to see the classroom environment.   

Any one can share your experience?

i did call last saturday to ask to tour the campus tomorrow, and they did say if there isn't too many people at the time then it is possible... so i do want to tour the campus tomorrow too!!  

some friends has commented the campus is kinda old when they interviewed in 2004/05, but when i went for the interview in dec 06, i thought the campus wasn't that old and i saw the kids' toilet beside the interview room which i thought was very new and clean!!  so have they renovated or changed campus??? can anyone tell me??  i will look closely again tomorrow!!  

and does anyone else think the uniform is kinda old fashion, especially the green plaid pants and the multi-colored sweater, and the suspenders!! >< :tongue:     i do prefer more simple colors like kv or sc, but i guess we r there for the cirriculum and teachers...     but hopefully they can review the uniforms soon!!

I really want to go around and visit the campus in detail but I can't go tomorrow because I should work, my maid will go to pay the registration fee.

During the interview on 2/12, i found the campus a little bit old and small compared with KM (my daughter is studying in N1), but the areas is clean and tidy.

Actually, i still have yet had final decision, that is SC or KM or HKPS, but at this moment, I prefer to HKPS.

KM is also good, and everything is similar to HKPS, but i need time to do research on its curriculum. The curriculum in HKPS told by the principal sounds good.

idy926, i think we r all new students   ... the prenursery students didn't need to go for interviews again.
