Hi fellows,

My son also took the interview but didn't recieve any letter or whatsoever from SSCPS.  May I assume that he was either fail the exam or on the wait list?  So to speak, he was NOT selected in the first round, right?

PS.  I'm living in HK Island and I didn't assume there was a mail delay.

For me, no matter my son is the one on waiting list or "completely failed", I try my best for any chance lor.

I learned from ur message that u r going 2 write a letter 2 the vice-principal.  My question is, r u going to wirte one letter or two or even more?

Besides, I am wondering if there is anyway I can go to the school and do something, say, talk to someone in-charge or something?

Sorry if I let you down!  (My english is not good enough ah mar!)
I will send the same letter to both of them, I think, and keep doing something until the end of the game.

At this moment, I don't plan going there, as I don't hv maid at home to take care of my son.  It's quite difficult for me (from Kowloon) doing so in my son's school hour. Just let's see what would happen to me after the reservation, maybe I will change my mind, I don't know now.

I wonder whether you had used your Kowloon address during application. If so, maybe, I guessed it would reduce your chance. Did you mention that you would move to HK island in the coming future?

Yep, I really overlooked this point before.  I've mentioned in my letter now.  Thank you for reminding me.

Frankly, I think "living in Kowloon" may not be the key, but "living in Kowloon + Small boy + wrong answer in interview" do.

我都覺得住既地區會有影響架, 我家住九龍, 但係太古城有物業, 所以我報既地址係太古城, 我諗都係有用架, 講真, 赤柱已經好遠, 仲要九龍去, 而呢間學校咁以小朋友為本既, 我諗佢地都有考慮車程令小朋友辛苦架, 你不妨係信入面加埋已經有計劃搬去香港. 試下啦, 寫左信可能會有優先考慮都未定架, 20號係首輪派位, 你係首輪派位當天再寄一封信去.

U don't let me down.  We all just wants the facts, right?

Having 2nd thought, I would mail a letter some time around 20th.  But I'm not sure if they would ever read it.  Still, I think that's the only way at moment.  

As a matter of fact, there was another kid, just happen to be living in the same area as I am, didn't receive any reply.  

Anyhow, thank you very much for your kind advice.   

PS.  I don't know Chinese typing and so, please forgive me.

I learned from my colleage that she sent the letter together with the recommendation letter issued by the principle of her kid's kindergarten.  Finally, her son accepted by school (her son was on waiting list) after the first month of Sept.  She claimed that it worked.

You may try to see whether the principle from your kid's kindergarten can wrote to you the recommendation letter.

How to know the kids is on waitlist or not?
Do i need to phone to the school and ask the status of the kid? Will they disclose it to me?
Or they will send letters to the applicants who are on waitlist?

其實每間學校都有好處同唔好處, 亦唔會有一間學校可以fit晒所有性格既小朋友, 我覺得我囡囡比較活動, 所以想搵間活動d既學校, 希望令到我個囡囡可以發揮到佢既潛能, 加上我實在好鍾意2文3語, 我覺得st.stephen係企係internation school & local school既中間, 佢有international school既活動教學又有local school既紀律同獨立性, 小朋友吸收到2樣既優點

Agreed with Wing! This is especially true for boys who need more space and activities to exhaust their energy.
And I think St Paul Convent is also a good one which is not really very conventional.

The letter was sent when my colleage received the on-wait list letter.  She did not remember exact date but quite sure after the announcement to accept the student.  She said that she sent more than 1 letter to the principal.
