面試終於告一段落, 各位總共報左幾多間kinder?....

KV: AM session accepted
SC: AM session accepted (will give up)
PLK Tam Au Yeung Siu Fong: AM session accepted (gave up already)
PC: Waiting for result.

KV VS SC
When comparing KV and SC, I picked KV for some general reasons such as:
Although SC is good in English and has higher chance (hearsay) to enter famous Primary school; the chinese and math's standard are not as good as KV;
KV could provide good foundation for student who will enter traditional primary/secondary school (I will likely send my to the traditional school rather than those so-called creative school or international school);

KV VS PC
But I really have some difficulties when making a decision between PC and KV (if PC accepted my son).

Pro PC
PC: Guarantee Band one Primary school;
KV: No guarantee;

PC: When K3, may try other band one school such as DBS, SPCC etc;

PC: around HK$1000 cheaper;

Pro KV
KV: Good in Chinese and Math, foundation in English is also good;
PC: (hearsay) the standard is tended to be low/simple in the kindergarden, so that the student there are normally failed in applying other band one primary school when k3; but suddenly turn to very difficult in P1 and some of the kids may not easily picked up;

KV: A DBS boy (currently studying in P2) shared that his classmate from KV are much stronger than those from SC in every test/dictation/exam etc; that means the education standard from KV is really not bad;

PC: Although it is a well known band one school with a lot of band one output; it is really a risk (at least for me) that to put my son in a Chinese teaching school; Just for example: if my son like to pick medical in the university, will he be facing a big problem if he studied biology in Chinese in his S4 and S5, or may be even S6 and S7??

Dear,

I agree with your view. Character development at this age is primary to academic performance. My criteria of choosing a school are:

1) friendly learning environment with caring teachers. It helps to build his confidence and trust in others.
2) giving children good language exposure as it is the prime  time for language development.

Our girls are 2003 baby..... suddenly I remember the year was ....... SARS year:cry: . When my gal bornt, only my hubby came ( the hospital didn't allow him to touch the baby ) ..... no one helped me during the first several months...... and maybe I was useless and always cried.

我生阿女果陣, 沙士總算過左喇, 不過陀果陣就日日都好擔心, 又好驚自己病, 所以唔知係咪因為咁, 阿女一出世就皺晒眉, 好似好多野諗咁架喇!

Safarimama 提起SARS, 回想當時出街要帶N95,返家又要由頭洗到落腳; 因唔敢出街食嘢,老公就放工買餸煮飯,仲要負責埋用1:99洗地... 果幾個月過得實在痛苦。
而家我個女仲要鬼咁百厭,又成日蝦爸爸,諗起都幾心傷!

Don't be sad, my son already gets an offer from KV(he is on waiting list before).  It means that you still has chance.  Cheers!

根德園is my first choice, but fail out of my expection
Because my son could answer 80% of question from interviewer and his performance was good on Kent may be my clothing so casual that is my fault.

Don't blame yourselves.  The selection process should not have anything related to parent's clothing.  Neat is ok.

And you're lucky one because your kid has many offer (although you give up).  Many people don't have.  Your kid is well done.

Meowross &十月媽咪 .....After a long long interview time, I need something to relax.... so I went to Disney with my dear girl and husband yesterday....    ... my gal felt very happy and excited, although she didn't play a lot. This disney is quite small but it is still worth to go at least once. And if your kid below 3, it is free of charge! But remember to buy the return ticket first!

However, I think the products and toys are very expensive..... eg. I brought a toy disney camera last year (from Jusco) $59.9, but the same camera in hk disneyland is $180!!! .

But I still couldn't escape, my gal asked my honey to buy a balloon..... $80!!!! and a christmas hat $175  !!!!    Her "24 how" Daddy brought immediately and said "Disney ar ma, ok la"!!

Haha..... my gal liked the firework very much that was her first time to see. And the Christmas tree was very tall and snowing was quite real.
