On the interview day, they will ask you to wait in a room and will bring your kid to another room for written & oral test. For written test, you may wish to buy some PY2 exercise books from the SIS bookstore (the exercise books are very cheap) to practice. The written test is quite stright forward. For example, they may ask your kid to circle a red square, circle a bus etc. The most important thing is that your kid must be able to understand spoken English or Putonghua.

The P1 interview  will last for about 60 minutes. Parents have no role to play in the interview except being a driver.

bristol, is it difficult to get into p1? my girl is now in victoria eng/put class. i want her to try local sch first and see if she could get into the one i like.

so the written test is almost 60mins? or half interview half written?

The written exam seems quite easy. However, will the examiner read the instructions/questions on the test paper to the children? Or the children have to read the questions and understand the the words printed on the exam papers? ( I'm afraid my child is only able to follow the verbal instruction but cannot read the written one.)

Is that I can choose the written exam and the interview conducted in English ONLY when I apply?

Any interview for parents?

Ayone knows a Chinese(Putonghua) teacher there called Ms Kwok?(her name seems to be x萍??) Do u know which forms(upper or lower) she teachs? Does she teach P1?

No interview for parents and they have to wait in a room.

The written exam last for about one and half hour and it covers English, Chinese & Maths. My son could not remember if the examer read out the questions for the kid or not.  

You can choose the interview to be conducted in English or Putonghua.

1.Both my son and daughter are with SIS. My very own opinion.... talking about creativity,SIS kids are
average.
2.My children often raise up for questions.
3.They will be trained and taught to be more independent but parents have to co-operate too.
4.Flexibility is better now under the care of the new principal.
5.I should say this is a 50/50 case.
