ESF WKS kindergarden student but failed get offer from ESF primary school

Even TY said they heard nothing from the primary schools before the release of results this year.  Not only WKS faces this problem.

Even same but the result is TOTALLY DIFFERENT

n the WKS staff told me the kids joined few months that they can do much for the interview.

I don't believe TY train their kids start from K1

Pre-interview(School visit) every ESF kinda do; even non-ESF kinda do; but the school will not tell you beforehand.

Did WKS disclose the succesful rate officially?  There has so many rumors in the air.  And if only 4-5 can get through, why people still pay such high fee per month?  This is terribly low and must have reason behind.

Possible fact:
1. All ESF primarys do not follow the guideline stating in ESF website before turning down ESF kinda applicants;
2. ESF TY staffs do not want to be entangled by disappointing parents. Life will be easier by saying "I don't know". Universally True.

I would say ESF kinda is one of cheapest tuition fee.

I don't know if they willing to disclose the placement result and the breakdown.

but i will try to find it out or ask ESF

The admissions policies of ESF primary schools and PIS are different.  That of the former includes a categorization system but the latter does not.  In fact, DC and RC favour local people as quoted from their websites: "At capacity, at least 70% of the total students enrolled must have at least one parent who qualifies for Hong Kong Permanent Resident status."

The ESF categorization in fact is a legacy of our colonial history.  It's been there for a long time and parents with children in ESF kinder face the same problem.

yes, I agree ESF is the lowest and relatively affordable among IS kinder.  But is it worth this amount in terms of this placement result?  My communication book will be definitely empty if I did not write something on it......Even no outing so far organized by school, such as picnic or sport day.

it should in the medium, many other IS (not very famous but this year placement in ESF primary also high) tuition fee around 3-4k/m

The TY experience is that the placement rate will be available but not right after the release of the first round results.

WKS is new kinda although in same group

there is no reputation in WKS except ESF's brand

Yes. It is your right keep asking/emailing your class teacher/TA; they have no way to escape!
(Maybe teachers/EA are exhausted after answering questions/emails to other parents, no time to write any comment on the commuication book)
Picnic and sport days need $$$. That's why the tuition fee is not too high.
As a cat. 2 applicant, 5.1K per month is still worthwhile to have an priorty for P.1 interview.
Disastrous outcome is another issue...

maybe the final result of placement is not such low

For my son's previous kinda, the teahcers wrote about my son's progress on the communication book weekly. But WKS did nothing!
