Hi P1 and senor class parents, need your  contribution in discussion:

My son observed the concern on musical instructment by the music instructors and very interested in choosing Trumpet. I would like he to choose Violin as he has been in the training for few months. Yet he insisted to learn a new one in addition to violin.

Any senior class parents whose children had choosen Trumpet training in TSL, here is my question:

1) P 1 student able to handle the Trumpet? I heard from others who said that usually Trumpet training will start from P3 or P4?

2) How about the quality of instructors in the school?

3) Are the fees reasonable?

4) Trumpet is one of the instructment in school orchestra?

Thanks for your kind contribution in sharing these opinions.

How's revision going with your children for the first Term Test?

There are some new photos being uploaded on the school web site.
Click "School Events", then click "2007-2008 Events", then choose
"New Student Orientation Day".

If your children feel bored or tired with the revision right now, show them the new photos in case you can find their faces. 

3 more days to go!!

Hi Principal:
How are you, The test have two more day to go,I find that  it may be very hard for her, specially the MATHS are
included 15 chapter ,she told me the test paper have tones of question to answers,she said that is easy but.... so scared about will have careless mistakes, of course i"m comfort her, i just feel sorry for her because i don't have much time to do the revision with her. Hopes she be fine, Now, i just hope she won't gets too lower marks, i know her, when she said scared about that, it must have something unsure for her in the paper. . i'm so happy about the school, i find that she learns so many things from the school , I can't believe that they only spent a months time,can teach that much chapter in every subjuct.Hopes she can handed that such fast speed teaching

By the way, thanks you reminded us about the new photos, I also find couple of photos  of her.

Your daughter must be very photogenic as her face always appears in the school events!!!

Maths should not be the most difficult subject.
For most TSL's pupils, Chinese should be the "difficult" subject for them.

After the first term test, we should get prepared with our children for the
upcoming "Multi-cultural Day" to be held on Oct 31st.
That should be a fun day for our children after their hard work.

Hi parents,

I found the arrangement of the test and revision schedule was very good that our child can have time for revision. My child was fine and he went through the first test calmly and this was not an anxious exercise for both of us. I went through the basic concepts and from the exercise he had done, I understood that he got the concepts. That's it.

One difficulty I got was to find exercises or additional revision materials on general studies. I could not find any exercise on general studies in English versions in any of the bookstore, do you have any idea?

1) Normally, term tests and examinations at TSL are held before long holidays so our children can really play hard after their hard work.

2) It's true that it is hard to find the supplementary exercise books (English
version) of the G.S. subject.
Perhaps what we can do is to encourage our kids to read more books
in general to gain additional knowledge on this subject.

Totally agreed with you.  The test arrangement was quiet good.  They had school text without any pressure .  
Regarding GS exercise, I asked some bookstore before, they said that as there are only  ...
