Anybody know whether school bus fare for Dec is half of normal monthly rate ?

Bluestar,

December is regarded as "short month".

If your child is taking the school bus for both ways, you DO NOT need to pay any bus fare for this month.

If your child takes only one way, you only need to pay half of the normal amount.

我想從12月開始搭至暑假，但校車部話每個月都要俾全費，哪全期所付豈非相等於９月份開始搭？！因可享有4個月半費及７月份免費。請問有冇人試過中途加入？會否有得傾

Dear all,

Are you aware that there was a cake cutting ceremony at school for TSL’s 
10th Anniversary on Monday?
Besides, class representatives put their colourful handprints on a large banner which is hung up at the covered playground near the main entrance now.

Haven’t seen Dr. Tan Siu Lin for a while.
He always appears to be a very nice man.
As usual, he was surrounded by flocks of pupils on Monday when he visited the school and officiated the ceremony.

You can find some new photos about the event in the school website under “School Events” now.

Hope there will be some more activities celebrating for such important year for TSL in the months to come.

I have just completed the 09/10 P1 registration this morning.  Could you share a bit more about TSL life?

1.  Do you think the school has good training / opportunities for enhancing confidence ?

2.  How many ECA do you kids participates in school?

3.  How do you find the teachers in TSL?  Are they patience and knowledgeable?

4.  Is there any chance for P1 student to enter the school team?  My girl is good at swimming.  I am not sure if it is easy to enter the school team in TSL?  Do you know any specific requirements?

Then I bet the pupils may not want to eat the cookies but rather to collect 3 of them to make it
"T" "S" "L" and keep them as memory for a while.

1.  Do you think the school has good training / opportunities for enhancing confidence ?

- There will be a lot of chances for the pupils to build up their confidence such as small presentation in class or in assembly; poem recitation, annual concert, singing contest and so on.  Starting from P.3, your child may apply for Campus TV crew member, school tour guide, and so on. 

2.  How many ECA do you kids participates in school?  

- It depends on individual’s preference.   As far as I know, some pupils participate in 2-3 ECAs at the same time.

3.  How do you find the teachers in TSL?  Are they patience and knowledgeable?

- Most teachers are very patient, friendly and lenient (not loose) to the pupils.
Therefore, you can feel/observe very close relationships among them. 

4.        Is there any chance for P1 student to enter the school team?  My girl is good at swimming.  I am not sure if it is easy to enter the school team in TSL?  Do you know any specific requirements?

- I can recall a case of P1 pupil joining the school team of mini tennis, not sure about swimming.   But in case your child is quite good at swimming, you may declare this to the relevant teacher in next September and I believe the teacher will consider your case.  As far as I know, the school needs more pupils to join the school team.   I think the requirements set for choosing swimming school team is rather standard.  You can check for more details in next September.

I think your child should have a good chance because of your strong French background.

But please be patient until next October!!

Really thanks for your detail information.

The in-class activities such as poem recitation, small group presentation... etc are the things that I am looking for.   

My daughter is a bit introvert.  I hope she could have more opportunities to express herself.  By the information you gave, I believe this the school for my daughter.
