Re: 保良局蔡繼有學校
ElephantMa,
Will you son apply for year 1? If yes, following may help.
First interview was around 1 hour and the kids were interviewed in a group. No questions were asked to the parents.
Second interview was around 10-15 minutes and 3 kids went to see the headmistress at the same session. The question for the kid was "What will you want to be when you grow up?" Meanwhile, the teachers would check the documents with the parent(s) and a little chat about the kid but nothing special.
Following is what my daughter told me about the first interview:
The kids were brought into a classroom where they started to have games. They needed to use a spoon to pick a ping-pong ball and run to put the ball into a box. Then they started to sing a song "Jack in the box" with the teachers. The teacher would sing it first and then the kids followed. It was fun because a teacher had hidden in a box and jumped out while they were singing.
After that, the kids would hold their interview card to go to different booths to play games (I thought the setup was like a fun-fair). Some "code" would be written on the interview card after some of the games. There were booths of Chinese games and English games.
My daughter played a games to "spot the differences" and to "what's being wrong" -- on the white board, there were many pictures. On one of them, the bicycle wheel were in square and another picture the man was wearing a swimming suit in the winter.
There were other games for picking out the correct colour and shape. They sang some other song in Chinese while the kid had to put the family member in the song and did the actions according to the wording of the song "拍拍小手...".
There was also a game for question and answer in English. On the card, it printed "It is a cat". Then the teacher would covered the card and asked the kid to choose from two printed word "Cat" or "Dog". And 2 or 3 more questions but I can't remember what my daughter told me.
They also needed to write Chinese character. The teacher wrote the first one on the paper and the kid wrote the same character 3 times. The one my daughter wrote was "大"
The kid would also need to draw a picture according to what the teacher told them, "one flower, a tree and two clouds "
There was also a magic show. (I think this one may be just for the teacher to observe the kids' responses.)
Finally, the kid would use the interview card to change for a candy.
Sorry, my daughter told me more details right after the interview but I forget a lot of them. Just hope this can help. |
