I've ordered another brand called Culturelle from Kirkmans' site but my son hasn't started it yet.  This one is aimed for yeast contol according to the yahoo parents' comments.  For the natural yeast killer, You can check with Dr. Trodd if they've the GSE manufactured by Kirkmans.  I remember 綠創意健康店 has the GSE liquid.  Tel:  25773798

Please share with me the type / form / brand of Glutathione you are using and the experience you have.  I am thinking of restarting my son on glutathione.  I worried about the yeast problem for the one from Wellness.  The one from Lipoflow smells bad  :(

Dear All 偉大 mama,

After spending like 4-5 long nites going thru this column, I'm still only up to about Dec 1's msg. Will keep working hard tonite.

I hv started biotreatment with my son (2 & 10mths now, dagnosed AF 4mths ago) last Sunday with Dr. Paul Lam.  To my disappointment, he only spent like 15 mins with us.   But sure he's a nice man.  That's true that there were so many patients last Sun.  I was there at 12:30 and waited until 1:45pm to see him, and at that time still 4-5 patients waiting outside.

After weighing my son, he gave him a B12 injection and some supplements to take home - no explanation~~~ Maybe I told him I was referred by BK's mummies, and I mentioned Bobo (hehe~~~) so he already assumed I'm expert!! But my husband was very 抓頭, all he could remember is Dr. Lam said our son can be recovered 80-90% in a year's time??!!  (But my son was sitting at the back, Dr Lam had no interaction with him at all except for the shot)   

He listed some foods that my son should stop eating, like milk, all kinds of biscuits (but I just bought an organic biscuits for for son last week...) , grapes, seafoods, 中藥, etc.   I shall post here later tonite to get your opinion together with the supplement list.  Anyway he suggested me to go back one of the weekday's afternoon to further talk -- for sure I'll as I didn't get a chance to ask about lab test for my son.

But now I have some other questions first:
I know the topic about "water filter" is over here.  I just wonder if anybody knows whether Diamond (鑽石健康水) is good.  I saw some mama here did mention that it can't filter lead?  Is that true?

The omega 3 oil from Dr. Lam really tastes good as some of you had mentioned.  I wanna know if I can let my son take omega 3 together wtih Eye-Q, and TF all together?  These I assume are supplements to enhance the brain development and immune system right?  Shouldn't have any contradiction right...

Lastly can anyone tell me how to put the cutie funny faces into the text?

My child takes blood test after the 2nd dose of DMSA.  He will have another one together with hair test in Jan.

Welcome to our chatroom.  Actually Dr. Lam doesn't know who I am as I visited him once 2 months ago.  I think you better drop the Eye q for a while and ask Dr. Lam during your next visit if these 2 fish oils can be taken together.  Transfer Factor is absolutely safe to be taken with any supplement as well as medicine.

For the water filter, I've no comment on Diamond brand but have heard the filter refill is quite expensive.  Isn't it?

Really?? but Dr. Lam said "Ah Bobo... then you know she's taking 2 B-12 shots each week for her son, so you see it should be OK...."  

Hmmm...probably he really remembers u, or this is just the standard practice for those taking B12.  

I haven't started Eye q, I'm just thinking to take it as well.  Yes, I should better check with Dr. Lam next time.

btw, I find the olive leave extract seems can control the yeast also, although not as fast as the Diflucan.  My son consumed it for about 3 weeks and I find that his tantrumming and self stim behaviour had been reduced.   I will try to consume the OLE for a longer period to see if the good behaviour can sustain or not.

Furthermore, the enzyme is very good also.  My son's poo poo resumed normal since middle of last week.  Thank you for recommending it to me

I'll send email to Dr. Trodd tonight regarding the TD form glutathione.  I'll also emphasize to him that some of his clients would like to try it since most of them are intolerant of the oral form that he prescribed.

Hi HayBMum,

I am very interested in OLE...the Great Plains Lab report of my son shows that there is yeast/ fungal outgrowth in the intestine.  Something called arabinose is very very high.  (He also has many self-stimmings too.)  I am just thinking if OLE can help.  It's being natural is really appealing.  Can you provide more info from a user's perspective?  Is it in powder or liquid form?  Taste? etc.

我剛安裝了diamond water filter, 6仟幾蚊, 同埋每2星期要自行清洗其中一個蕊(一共有6個), 都幾煩. 不過聽另一個家長有用開, 話幾好, 所以就選用.
我只用了幾星期, 所以唔敢俾評語.

Hi siu_ming,

In fact, I did not intend to use OLE for controlling yeast when I first introduced it to my son.  In last two months, my son was sick and he coughed frequently.  I gave him a lot of medicine and his coughing was still on and off.  As he had taken so much syrup,  he started to get easy in throwing tantrums and resumed some self-stim behaviours which had been absent for long. I guessed it was due to the yeast / fungal overgrown.   I heard OLE was good for coughing so I started to use it 3 weeks ago.  Just in recent days, I found that my son's self stimmings went away and only showed occasionally when he was very happy.    I suspected that it was the effect of OLE as only OLE and Enzyme were introduced in the past two months.   Then I searched on the web and found that OLE can control the growth of fungal.  But when you compare it with Diflucan, from my own experience, the effect of Diflucan is much faster and apparent.  So it seems OLE alone is not enough for killing yeast effectively.  But I think it can control the growth of it in longer term.  I am ordering Kickman's Yeast Aid Powder for "看門口".  But when you look at the ingredient of it, it also contains OLE & Vitamin C.  So definitely these two supplements will work for yeast control in certain extent.

The OLE I brought from Green Concept is in liquid form.  Taste a bit bitter but still can tolerate it.

I don't know whether OLE can be consumed together with nystatin or not.  I dropped the nystatin as it did not work with my son when he was taking the oral glutathione.   As OLE is a natural supplement, I think it will be ok to start with a small quantity to see the effect first.
