Hi all SJC mums,

My son was accepted to SJC kindergarten, I am considering whether to register. Could you pls. tell me what primary schools SJC's graduates usually go to?

Also one friend told me that this school always ask for donations from parents, is this true?

And also heard that when children have birthdays, the cakes that brought to school by these children were not shared by these children but were taken to the teachers / principals for sharing. is this true?

我哋都係 12月一日家長日, 唔知會否見到呢?

新幹線

小學派位主要係睇你報既區份, 同幼稚園真唔係有好大既關係, 如果係派位, 都係睇你好唔好彩同夠唔夠分.

至於捐款, 每年都會有敬老會, 資料可以參考下面:
係呢幾年除左敬老會期間既捐款外, 就只有"若望之光"係第3年捐, 所有捐款都係隨意捐. 以我所知都有家長係從未捐過.  

每年十二月敬老會活動
前兩年敬老會是在洲際酒店舉行，今年先改左去馬會。學校大概會請多過2００幾位長者去免費享用午餐。午餐期間學生會有再歌再舞既表演。我們作為家長見到自己小朋友經過老師既教導，能站在台上表演，真的很感動。同時見到老人家很開心地渡過，妳就會明白這個敬老活動是很有意義的。  如小朋友有份參與表演,家長係需要交$300作訂做表演服裝(有餘款, 會退回給家長), 表演後服裝是會交給家長.  另外家長如參與午餐, 餐券大概成人$350,小朋友$260.
- 每班會輪流帶食物返學校義賣. (家長可給小朋友二十元, 作為講買食物之用)
- 每個小朋友買一盒COOKIE送給老人家
- 自由捐獻
- GAME DAY 通常星期六(要買遊戲卷參加都係捐款既活動之一, 自由參加)

蛋糕方面, 以前問過學校係會有提供(但冇小朋友既名, 應該大部份部幼稚園都會係咁), 不過通常家長都會買1個有埋小朋友名既蛋糕返學校, 學校會幫小朋友係自己既蛋糕影相, 之後會連埋相o架送返比小朋友. 小朋友帶返去既蛋糕, 可能一次生日會會有好多個, 所以如果自己班多, 會分比其他少蛋糕既班. 咁老師/校長佢地有份食都唔奇. 其實帶左返去, 如果係我, 我就唔想小朋友帶番返屋企, 分享左, 係唔係會d呢?  

不過學校既活動真係幾多o架, 每年有2次旅行, 敬老會, 老師既annual dinner, 天才表演, 仲有每年既畢業禮等等, 當然全部都係自由參加啦!

[/url]報道)小一自行分配學位結果將於下周一揭盅，今年參加派位的小一學生人數大減約二千五百人，但由於下學年小學每班人數削減兩人，令自行收生學額減少約二千八百個，故今年自行收生的成功率不升反跌。全港逾二萬二千六百餘人獲派小一自行分配學位，成功率約五成二，較去年微跌近一個百分點，當中獲派「世襲位」約佔四成三。

　　今年「世襲位」約9700人

　　教育局昨公布，今年有四萬三千六百多名學生申請自行分配學位，結果約五成二人獲派學位，較去年減少約一千六百多人。在獲得學位的學生當中，約四成三、即九千七百多人屬有兄姊在校就讀的「世襲位」，餘下一萬二千八百多人則按計分辦法獲小學取錄。

　　教育局提醒家長，須於下周一或周二帶同小一入學申請表的家長副本，前往申請小學查閱結果。獲派學位的學生，須於下周三或四前往有關小學辦理註冊手續。家長若因要事未能在指定期間辦理註冊手續，必須先與學校聯絡作出適當安排，否則將視作放棄學位。

　　未能獲得自行分配學位的學生，將於明年一月中旬接獲當局通知，並於一月底前往指定的統一派位中心，辦理選校手續。

　　資助小學校長會主席張志鴻昨表示，今年升小學生人數減少二、三千人，自行收生的成功率本應上升，但教育局早前宣布調低小學每班人數，令各校減少約十個學位；加上不少家長的選校策略較進取，明知分數不夠亦報讀名校，令成功率較去年下跌。

　　籲填第二志願作保險

　　他提醒未獲學位的家長，統一派位時須小心填寫選校表，若心儀小學屬區內學校，應在選校表甲部及乙部的首志願均填上該校，並把甲部的第二、三志願留空，乙部則盡量填滿。

　　若家長心儀他區學校，除在甲部首志願填寫該校外，應在第二志願填報一所區內的心儀小學作為保險，「即使家長只有一所心儀小學，千萬不要『從一而終』，只填一所學校很危險。」

　　津貼小學議會主席鄧貴泰則認為，成功率下跌不足一個百分點，不算明顯跌幅。他又建議家長，即使子女最終未能入讀心儀小學，應以平常心面對。

我未知呀, 因個日我姑仔會帶妹妹下午去 outing, 而 Natalie 就要上堂.  其實我都唔記得幾點呢.

My son in K1 and he got the hand,foot and mouth disease 10 days ago and didnt go to school for one week. I called the school last monday and told them the case and the class teacher told me that there was 1 student got the same disease 2 weeks ago and already got better and started the school again so she said maybe my son got the disease from other place not from the school. However one of my son's classmate his mother called me today and told me the schoolbus auntie told her that my son got the hand foot and mouth disease and her son also got the same disease and got high fever on the same day on Nov 23rd and she also told me that there was another girl in their class also got the same disease. I feel quite unhappy that the teacher seems want to hide the truth i feel so strange that why she didn't tell me that there were few students got the same disease , i am not sure whether the school send the case to the health department, i hope they do santize and wash all the toys, tables and chairs and also most of the students have their lunch in the school, i hope they really clean up all the things...:cry:
