The school won't force the students to learn an instrument.  I know some students not playing any instruments at all.

According to the web, there is an orchestra, but I don't know the entrance requirements.  Students can learn some instruments at school.

Yes, but just only you can choose an instrument in which your kid feels interested but not for school. Btw, how r u, BoBocute, haven't heard from u a long time.....

Thanks for replying! It's good news to me that the school doesn't set any requirement on student's instrument playing.  

When you say that students can learn to play instruments at school, are they part of the extra-curricular activities that students can join on as they wish?

The school gave us notices to ask us whether our girl would like to learn the instruments at school, but not during school time.

Hi Hi!  Just a bit busy recently.  My mom was back from Canada, my parents in laws were back from Australia, and my sister in law will be back also coming Sat.

Feels like honeymoon now after mid term.  Although there will be Math class test on Friday, I don't think I will revise with her, ha ha!

I wrapped up my girl's phonics materials a couple of days ago and decided to let my girl quit phonics course.....
So good that finally I can cut one of her interest classes and save some money and time.

Thanks for sharing! I just visited the school's website and found a weekly schedule of extra-curricular activities.

wow ... sounds super busy ....yeah, My kid will have math test tomorrow as well.. Just revise by herself... Can't be always revised with her together. I need her to do it herself sometimes and take the responsibility. She is now learning piano... actually is 4:30pm today but the teacher forgot and come earlier but we are still okay.

My girl is practising piano now.  It becomes really hard to ask her to practise her piano now after the music festival.....

My girl's teacher handed out certificates for the students ranking 1-3 in class yesterday, and also distribute the merit cards to the whole class.

why is there no need to include ch.14?

The teacher said becoz of the words in ch.14 is easy, so only need to Dict. ch.15. That's what my kid told me.

Thanks Pochacco2001...... u know i really get mad with my kid all the time. Even everytime i ask her if she understands or not, she always says 'YES' but if she does the homework, all wrong (not just only math but every subject) aiiii...... want to die....She always doesn't ask even if she doesn't understand

聽聞聖家小學的功課量是:
小一至小二一般都係5-8樣(連改正)
小三就每日都10樣8樣 (唔計改正), weekend 就12-15樣.
6年班, 平均每日15-16樣, weekend有20+, 長假期有30+

唔知聖心有冇咁多功課呢?
我個女今年9月會上小一啊!
