問題係件絲棉背心未必fit到件校褸裏面喎。我女件校褸是淺色的，冇近似的絲棉背心，所以要DIY件套件。問題係我揾唔到的絲棉料做饀。

件絲棉襖(我件是長袖)又輕又柔軟,穿在校褸內,外面加條scarf, 完全冇問題. 多d係家裡practice咪得囉.

不過國貨公司d棉襖真係好貴,我件是藍色,因為係哥哥的.件校褸是淺色的.

真係好大工程架！但我個女真係好鬼論盡，成日唔見嘢。我舊年就諗住做了，不過那時炒咗個工人，忙到失魂。今年就可以做這個實驗了。剛剛用件舊棉衣裁好件背心，這兩日攪掂就可以趕及天氣轉涼時有得用。    我只打算做件背心，因為唔識整長袖。不過，就算識都唔會做長袖囉，工程浩大呀！！

其實PTA可唔可以向学校反映下。舊年有好多日都低過10度，真係替亞女担心會冷病。

Making a custom made warmer to our daughter is a very sweet idea.     

Unfortunately, it appears to be a dream for a working mummy.

Under handbook 3.4:

Dark brown sweaters and water-resistant quilt jackets with school crest  may be worn when weather turns cold.

May I interpret that school crest is compulsory for the jacket only?   
In other words, can we buy dark brown sweaters other than those supplied by Tailor Law?

If yes, it means one feasible solution is to buy a wool sweater.  It will be nice if she can wear one more sweater without sleeve inside when it is cold.

Tailor Law is selling a brown fleece vest and costs HKD100. They will tell you it's not Maryknoll "uniform", you can either sewn it into sweater or teach your daughter never wear it without cover by sweater. I bought two brown sweater, in case it's too cold, just wear them all.  :

Dear AmyWonglo,

I bought a silk padding vest (brown) at Yue Wa dept. store today, it cost $215 with 10% discount.  The quality is very good and believe it is warm enough during freezing winter.  As the color is very close to Maryknoll jacket, it is not easy to recognize a separate vest been put inside.

You can go and have a look.

I just brought the brown silk vest tonight too.  
It is not too difficult to fit it in, just sew 2 sets of 啪鈕 on each side of shoulder, and the vest is well positioned.  My girl wear #8 jacket, and I brought #8 vest, 衫長 and 夾位 fit just right! perfect!

好耐無做針「紙」，好羡慕AmyWonglo你咁有心机呢！

That exactly my problem : Beige Colour Jacket.

Actually, I went to Yue Wah to sourced the silk vest 2 - 3 weeks ago.  I just can't find one with suitable colour.  What they have is dark Beige colour or light golden colour.

Thanks for all the other mums for the information.  Actually, I just finished the vest last night.  The work is not as complicated as you think, and the result is good.  Just in time for the weather next week.

我將一張舊報紙放校褸上，然後跟着間棉位置沿線勾出輪廓，咁，前幅及後幅的紙樣就準備好了。跟着要做的只是按紙樣裁布及連接工作。少少縫紉技巧就可以應付。因為是穿在校褸內，手工粗些也沒問題，保暖就可以了。最麻煩就是找保暖的填充物，碰巧我有件舊衫

I find being a good P1 mama is a challenging but  sweet and memorable experience.

Seeing your "Just in time for the weather next week" I check the observatory's website.  I didn't realize the temperature will drop to 13C next week!!!   

Glad that at least I bought the vest for her this afternoon.

別客氣。我會用埋--"tough"--來形容，因為服侍亞女要
比服侍老闆更勞心、勞力呢。

明天預測是13度，星期一是12度。小朋友六點幾出門，氣温一定低。

各位記得星期一出門前睇天氣呀！如果是工人負責送亞女上學就提佢記得開電視睇清楚那時的氣温。14度或以下就穿長褲。其他的防寒衣物都要準備好。頸巾、手套都要寫上姓名/班別，因為這兩樣遺失率很高呢！

I brought a brown one from Yue Wah, double horse brand.  But as AmyWonglo said, there is only golden colour, not exactly in beige.
