Dear all,

We received a phone call from TSL about school suspenion last night.  We are so appreicated our school has such a good arrangement.  Did you all also receive a phone call from our school last night?

Just want to say " Well down, TSL!"

Tingmum,

I think it's becos you volunteered for helping out on Open Day that somebody from PTA called you.
I didn't receive any call from school.
But the notice could already be found in school website when I checked at 4am.

Don't expect that they will have any homework for their extended Easter hols.

One idea is to let our children read some more books (both in English and Chinese) during the holiday so as to further enhance their language skills.

I did not receive phone call from the school last night.

However, I admire the school very much by posting the information on the school web site so promptly.
As pointed out by Bluestar, the information was already there before 4:00 a.m. !!!

That means the Principal and the senior teachers must have some discussion/decision made very late last night so the relevant I.T teacher/staff was able to post such information on the school web site immediately.

Once again, I would like to appreciate for the school's arrangement by making a very good use of the school web site as shown by posting updated information all the time.
In that case, parents do not need to call to the school to ask for all sorts of information.
At the same time, the staff do not need to answer hundreds of calls and give the same set of answer hundreds times.
Well done!!!

Dear all,

Yes, PTA called me at eleven something last night about the school suspension news.  Then my husband received another phone call at mid night. My husband told me that call was from school.  

My daughter cried heavily last night because I told her the school Open Day will be cancelled this year.   That news was really upset her.

Received a call from class teacher this morning :

Term Test postponed to 18 - 23 April,
will mail us the timetable and syllabus,
form for Apr lunch box, and
form for Apr extra school bus.

And will post diff exercises on e-class.

Pls keep a look out for these.

And pls log on to e-class for latest updates on everything.

Haha, I thought there would be no homework tim !!

I have requested our class teacher to put all those term 2 中文工作紙 and english worksheets on the school website so that our kids can prepare their mid-term test at home. Our class teacher promised  that he will talk to school about this arrangement.

My girl will go to Beijing for a week of holiday with my friend's family(from Beijing).  My friend was a mandarin teacher in an international school.  I think this is really a good chance for my girl to practise her mandarin there.  She is looking forward to having this speical trip soon.  Will you go anywhere for holiday with your piglet?  Will go to States again?

Interesting woh !
Will you be going to BJ with the kids too ?

We are going to Sing for Easter (5d4n),
but actually only 3 solid days :
1 day Wild Wild Wet,
1 day Snow City + Science Centre + military training tour,
1 day shopping in Orchard Rd.


The summer hols may be shortened by 1 week,
(to make up for this extra 5 days' suspension of school)
so don't plan for early summer hols !!

Seems you like Sing. a lot.  How many times have you been there?  Your trip is short but sounds good.

I won't go with her this time.  She just follows my friend's family and lives in their house in BJ. I have to stay in HK as I going to move very soon.

I also received a phone call from the school today informing me about the new arrangement on the holiday homework and various other things.

You may be disappointed on the arrangement of the holiday homework!!
That's why I put question marks on this yesterday.

But I think the amount will be minimal and our children should do something during the holiday.

Please check the school website and the e-class regularly in the next few days as the school will keep on posting new information for parents and pupils.

But I wonder whether it is compulsory for the schools to follow or not as every school might have a slightly different time schedule for the summer holiday?
