Hi everybody,

Long long time not come here to chat lah and it takes long long time to search our discussion thread  

Anyone know that the K3 p.m. timetable is 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. ?     

This term I will let my son to take 'po mo' bus but the bus company contact person told me that my son need to get on bus at 12:25 p.m.  Actually the time needed from our place to school is about 10 minutes jar (so the staff told me that after school, the arrival time is 4:40 p.m.)  

So I guess we're the 1st one get on the bus and the 1st one get off.  

If it is really 1:30 p.m. start classes, I may ask maid to take him to school and let him to take 'po mo' bus after school only.  But don't know whether this arrangement is OK to the bus company.

Any idea??

I think if you are happy to pay the fee for round trip, the "o Mo" will be just too happy to have your kid.

I think the class most likely will  start at 1pm.      Of course, this is o.k. to take one way 'po mo' bus, they will charge u slightly more than half the price.

Haven't surf BK for a while as I was too busy to look for private tutor for my elder one. Her tutor charge me for $350/hr, is it a bit expensive?         
I have not choice as I am a lazy mum with very very low EQ.   

Did anyone surf the primary topic lately? There is quite a big fight between St.Jo's and St Paul's boy mum!!!!

No ah..... I seldom looks "primary school" thread.  

Is it true?  why fight?  These two schools belong to two district, two religion and two style (I think St. Jo. is more traditional, right?)  so should have NO reason to fight bor.

My son has an oval shape plastic plate.  

In the very beginning, he brought a quite small plate (that very basic simple style, single color, no cartoon patten) but he said the teacher said it's too small so we changed a bigger one after that.   

Some parents said small food box with cover is also OK but same as plates, I think too small ones will not be acceptable to teachers.   :

Last year there is a parents briefing session held in mid-Sept., during which teachers will tell parents every detail of the class arrangements, eg. what to teach, what to bring to school, what to eat, what's the schedule for everyday, what for the dictations, etc. etc. and parents can raise questions then.

It's very useful so you all should go.   

Never mind centre, I think your son will quickly settle in the new school.  Boys can play together very easily.  My son, like your son, missed his old classmates a bit in the very beginning but now even I asked him, he can't recall the names of his old classmates. (--> very short tem memory kids )

Thx your information and support! Luckily, my son gets a pretty good impression on St. Jo where we have visited in its open this year. He tasted the popcorn and therefore St. Jo is a "popcorn" place apart from IKEA. Haha

Long time no see la... I always says that Matthes will be his classmate again. He tells: "Matthes打交....followed with the stories happened in school....laughing,swimming, chatting..."

Wow, I didn't know that there's open day in St Jo and they served popcorn too!!!!!! Isn't it great!!!
My son also thought he is going to be promoted to the K2 in the old school,too bad that he doesn't have a classmate like yours.  I hope he can cope with  St Jo's style in next few months.

2/  eh!     I was not there during the interview and I didn't ask my boy afterward. So, I am afraid I can't give you any correct answer on this question. But I am sure other mums will be happy to answer.
3/  To my believe, I think it really doesn't matter which kinder the child was in and how they do in their previous kinder. It is all depends on the child's performance on that day and most important - the interviewer's preference.

I don't think my son is smarter than those who were not accepted. He is just lucky enough to get a seat.

For interview questions, my boy said they are all in Chinese. What's yr name? how old a u? which school u a now studying? playing matching games for numbering/counting....these are what he told me after the interview. totally agreed with nattymum, it all depended on the boys' performance in that few minutes on that day. Personally, i put more weight on whether the boys are independant and confident enough as they are told to line up by sitting on the small chairs by themselves without parents' company while waiting their turns for individual interview. u know, some kids refused to go into the classroom or sit down or even cried

Parents were allowed to go into the classroom with boys on the 1st school day last year.  This year, no idea lah.

Don't worry!  Teachers will give you the schedule of wearing sports wear (different days of PE lessons for different classes) later.  

This the biggest advantage of a tradional school --> nothing will happen to your surprise.         Everything has been happening for many years so parents just follow the instructions and notices from school.

My son told me these couple of days that he felf 'scaring' when he though of returning to school next Monday wow      It's the time again for him to re-start the disciplined life at school lah (at home he's just too naughty   )

Yes, looking forward to see you and others on that day !  I have asked the school company that parent absolute can't get onto the bus.  It is the most strict one.  Even not for the first day !  So after send him on to the bus, I have to go to the school by myself.

Hello Youngmami and other parents,

There is a small green card (around 1" x 1") with a tiny string and the 'KGLA' printed on it.  The kinder said need to get this small card laminated.  How to use this card.  My husband got this back but he forgot everything la !!!

I think that card is mainly for the teachers to identify the kids as they don't have the photo student card like other school. O, I have forgotten to laminate it!!!
I have decided to take my boy to the school by MTR on the 1st day, he will then join the school bus the next day. If I remembered correctly, our boys are on the same school bus.
Anyway, see u that day!!

Hi everyone,
, first day of the school,and we are not allow to go into the classroom!!! No chance to talk to any of the parents    . Thanks god that my son quite like the new school.
Does anyone have any information about the 'po mo' bus for Quarrybay or Taikoo Shing district?? May I have the no. pls?? ( I think there is a Mr Chong running the route!!??) My son was the first one in and last one out of the school bus, pity him!
