Calix feels bored at home already...some extra-curricular activities are cancelled also...hope that school can be resumed as scheduled esp. that Calix is longing for the birthday party on 2 July...

Fu Soen feels bored too...she looks forward to collecting homework fr schoolbus the coming Mon...
I bought some exercise books in the Doulos book fair so Fu Soen can kill her time by doing these ex books.

Oh, you'd been to the Doulos book fair already?  How is it?  I plan to bring Calix there but I'm afraid it'll be too crowded...

Not crowded at all...as the weather is hot and it's stuffy onboard.
But Fu Soen enjoyed choosing books there.  I am glad to find " Goldstars" "Dr Seuss" ,"Fisher Price"......ex books at better price there.

Sure!  Calix likes to see his friends too!  He always said he hates swine flu and wants to go to school.  I think it's sad if they can't say goodbye to their teachers and classmates b4 promoting to K2...

ok...when ms chan calls next week for us to collect the kids summer holiday work, i'll ask her if she's interested in meeting the kids before the summer.  i'm pretty sure that school won't resume....

Tina, any ideas for the gathering?  Agree that outdoor activities may be better under such health condition.  Yesterday my friend invited us to Cricket Club at Wong Nai Chung Gap Road for which there's a great green field...the kids can run, kick football, blow soap bubbles etc. there.  Calix had a good time there.

Elaine, you're here again finally!  Long time no chat!

I received Ms. Chan's call yesterday and she knew about the gathering also.  Hope that she & Ms. Lam can join us!

We'll go at 9:15am next Monday...will go with Calix also as he wants to hand in the homework to Ms. Chan by himself.  He 好俾心機 did the homework and coloured the picture on p.9.  He said he wanted to show the picture to Ms. Chan & Ms. Lam (his colouring works improve a lot after the whole school term, haha!!).

I will collect Fu Soen's stuff next Tue 9am,so can't see you nor Elaine.

Calix mom, thanks for yr information.  Ms. Chan told me it's no need to submit any homework to her wor!  I think Calix may feel disappointed if he knows it.
My time slot is 9:30am on Tue.

Yeah, Ms. Chan also told me that there's no need to hand in the homework.  Yet when I told her Calix wanted to hand in the homework to her directly, she replied, "OK, then just let him hand in the homework lah!"  Ms. Chan did collect Calix's homework today.


It's good that Calix got the birthday present also from school though there's no party.  He's very happy when he got it from Ms. Chan!

Calix got the cleanliness award again this time.

Calix took pictures with Ms. Chan & Ms. Lam and we also took some pictures for Calix as he played in the playground after the meeting.

I'd asked Ms. Chan about the mechanism of K2 class allocation.  She said firstly the school will divide the whole class into 3-4 groups...then different groups will shuffle with the other groups from different classes.  There may be at least 5 (can be 9 also) kids in the original class promoted to the same class in K2.  Yet, the school hasn't yet started on class allocation.

Also, I'd called the school office before for the school commencement date.  The staff said the new school term is planned to start on 31 August, 2009 tentatively.  Yet, this is to be confirmed in the letter to be received in mid-August.

It's the end of their K1 school life already...let's keep in touch and hope that our kids will enjoy & adapt to their K2 life well in future!

i'm going to pick up nicholas's stuff tomorrow 8:30am.  nicholas said he'll try to wake up early and go back to KV with me.  we shall see.  Lets organize something fr the kids regardless of the teachers presence as i think their chances of coming to our gathering is very slim....

Hi all,

Any ideas for the gathering?  What about joining local tours, e.g. strawberry picking, visiting Kadoorie Farm etc.?  I haven't joined any local tour b4?  Any suggestion from you?
