Thanks very much!!  I am sure you have helped her a lot.  Sorry, I have been quite busy recently and I don't go online often.  Sometimes I just read all your posts but do not have time to respond.  :

Just an update from me:
I am very happy to hear that everyone's kid is doing well and is improving day by day.    My son is also improving very slowly.  Our problem is that we are in the crossroad of deciding on using English/Chinese going forward.  We know that government provides only little support for English training, however my son is only speaking English (although he has been having Chinese speech therapy for 8 months).  He still doesn't speak one word of Cantonese.  The reason is probably because we have been speaking English to him since birth until he started nursery and speech therapy in May.  Since then, I have begun speaking to him in Cantonese but he started to ignore me completely (only talks to my maid in English!!).  I am afraid our parent-child relationship will be further ruined if I continue to insist on Cantonese.  That is mostly the reason why I have been busy - I need to research on English training for him and also on English kindergarten.  
Another thing I am busy at is that I have recently read a lot about biomedical treatments for autistic kids.  I have taken my son to have blood test for allergy and it turns out that like most A-kids, he is highly allergic to all dairy products, eggs and wheat products.  So I have started him on the casein-free/gluten-free diet.  If any of you have experience on this diet, you will understand that it is very hard to get started because most of the stuff in our kitchen are not gfcf.  Anyway, to cut a long story short, my son has not been drinking any milk or eaten any products that contain milk for 2 months now and miraculously, he has already gained 2 pounds in one month (he hasn't been gaining any weight since 1.5 years old!!).  So I think the milk that he has been drinking really did harm his digestive system.  

Anyway, I should not go on for too long.  Hope you don't mind this long posting.  I would love to join the next gathering.  Please keep me updated!

唔緊要啦, 如果媽咪唔得閒整或攞唔到, 可以買現成食物KFC, PIZZA, MCDONALD ETC或同我地講免帶(但要早點講我地可以再預多d野食)查實我都係煮食白痴(細個雖然讀過cookery), 所以會帶個圖案多士爐去irene度整(然後+芝士 or 煉奶).

IRENE, 你就好喇, 亞朗送幅"蘋果"比你 , 有次AMY爸爸OT夜番, AMY臨瞓前, 話自己寫左一封信比爸爸 , 然後交左一張卷埋好似豬腸咁既野比我, 仲吩咐我唔準拆開偷睇 , 話只可以比爸爸睇 !

爸爸番到黎, 我交比佢 , 話佢個女叫我唔準睇 , 一定只可以比佢睇 , 爸爸拆開後笑笑口 , 我一睇... 又係一副"畫符"  , 講真...我真係睇唔出佢畫咩  , 但爸爸話睇到係一隻蝴蝶 & 小草 !

咁唔怪得唔比我睇喇, 因我根本睇唔明 ! 真係要爸爸先睇得明 !

Long time no see.  Nice to hear from you here.  (Better to use English coz it's faster)

They provide services for autistic children whose mother tongue is English.  But, to be frank, they charge a bit high.

My boy, Ah Long, faced similar problem.  As his dad is a Malaysian, we talked to him in Cantonese, English, some Malay and some Hakar (a Chinese dialet)!  This might be a cause of speech delay, as according to the speech thearpist.  (But I am still wondering why all the kids in Malaysia and Singapore do not have such problem.  They are all under such an environment!  No autistic kids in Malaysia / Singapore???? )Anyway, accepting the ST's advice, we use only Cantonese afterwards.  We're in a struggle when deciding the medium of communication too.  We decided to use Cantonese at last since it might be more familiar to him and easier to learn.  And we knew he would learn English somehow in the future.  The most important thing at that time was "get him to talk/communicate with others."  So, my advice is, you'd better decide which language you use ASAP.

Sorry for late reply.  Yau Yau is older than Dic Dic.  But anyway, we need to only compare by himself.  Not to compare to another one.  So, Dic Dic is also very good due to he is imprvoe than before.  Do you agree?

Hi Irene,
Thanks for your info and sharing.  Ah Long is a very smart kid and I would be overjoyed if my son could talk like Ah Long!  So if Ah Long found learning a few languages simultaneously quite difficult, I have no doubt that my son cannot handle two languages at the same time.  
Over the past week, we have pretty much decided on switching everything to English coz English is the language that my son is most comfortable with.  I guess Cantonese is just too difficult for him to handle at the moment.  Anyway, I have found a good English speaking 幼兒導師 and my son had a session with him last week.  I was really relieved that my son liked her and enjoyed the whole 45 minutes.  We will be meeting new OT and ST in the coming week.   Hope things will work out fine : .   
I know about AP International School but the charges are really high.  I will check out the other one you mentioned.  Thanks a lot!!
