Same case as yours. My daughter is studying K1 at Kentville Dorset campus now, and my son is on waiting list. My son is a small B (end of Nov), that's why it's kind of hard for Kentville to accept him. See if St. Catherine's would accept my son in the first round. I would like my children to attend the same kindergarten and share school life together. However, if Kentville doesn't like to babysit or take care of 'small baby', I don't feel comfortable to enroll my son there.

Yes. You are right.  I did tell them the truth but also accepted.My girl was so shy and spoke at very low voice also.  At that time, I just have 50% confidence.

My boy was born in Sept, but he couldn't stop walking around and even pushed the little chair to other interview area during his interview.   I think I have to prepare him for another kindergarten...... but I really hope he can go to K1 when his sis goes to K3 at KV.

And heard that SC likes to accept "big B".

各位媽媽：
我阿女都係waiting果批，雖然收到信有點失望，因為我都覺得佢表現ok架。(at least比佢之前in果間！) 我地都唔明KV的收生標準！So, 大家平常心啦！不用太過介懷入不到KV，入唔到，我會看成"有更好的學校適合阿B！"這樣對自己and BB都舒服D呢！

其實如果IN完佢而家唔收你地之後...
你真係覺得間學校咁「差」既....
做父母應該都檢討下自己點解會幫小朋友報一間你地覺得「衰」得咁緊要既學校..

我自己小朋友都有IN KV,都係WAITING LIST,
咁又點呢？要不停咁去踩佢就係因為自己入左WL?
個人認為係哩代父母將自己小朋友睇得太「高」,
你覺得自己小朋友去IN既時候表現好好....
有無諗過可能有更多小朋友比佢既表現更理想?

有做幼稚園既朋友同我講過,

淨係由INTERVIEW之後到而家出左結果,

我的兒子是在十一月出世(細仔),還未戒片,家住大角咀,面試時身穿T-shirt及牛仔褲.

KV收了他讀AM - Kent Road. (他有對答及唱歌的)

面試當日發生了一個小插曲,我帶我的兒子見老師時,有一位老師叫我的兒子坐在左邊的椅子,但另一位老師和那位老師耳語後便很有禮貌地同我講是坐右邊才對,那時我的兒子已坐了在左邊的椅子,我便同兒子講"唔好意思,爸爸講錯咗,坐右邊的那張才對."

Also, I have something to share and Please bare with me coz ... may not sound nice.....

Some may say
" oh... I did't wear approperiately"
" oh... my address is not perfect"
" oh.. perheps it's our occupation"

To me, I hate the fact that people judge me or my family base on those factors... but the REALITY is.... MOST OF THE PEOPLE ON EARTH DO!!!!!!
It's part of the game... no matter how much you don't like it....
Just imagine when your son goes for a job interview.. would you tell him to put on a nice ( not expensive, but decent) suit?? Becuase you know people often judge others by outlook. (I'm not saying it's right)
Yes, Kids don't need suit... but they need to be neat and decent and so do you!

People judge others by where they live.... let's say you met a person and you know he/she lives in South bay.... would you think he/she's kinda rich?

Sorry.... I agree... education shouldn't be like this... but, it's a BUSINESS to them ... they wanna be able to have students who they can refer to later on.... that's why it's called " For profit independent Kinder"

It isn't fair... right? BUT we all know we don't live in a IDEAL world.. LIFE is somehow UNFAIR, right???
Also, if we wanna complain .... I 'd go for

" HONG KONG EDUCATION SYSTEM SUCKS!!!!!"

My friend's son also have g6pd, but Kv also accept him, he is k2 now!

just another little story, when i was queuing outside the restroom(no gender sign), there were ladies in the line. then when i was the next one, a man came and ignored me, going into the restroom and knocking on the doors. he left when he knew they were occupied. :evil:  :evil:  :evil:

thus the problem might be the parents, but HK education system (nursery, kindly, DSS,too many exams, too few subsidized degree courses) is the most evil.
