Thank you for your support.  Do u receive my PM in return.  It is my bad day, my laptop is down after I wrote my last message in this forum, then I change another one (my husband's standby) from which I read your pm and reply immediately, however, once I return to main page, it's still and I cannot check my written PM again.  The laptop works now but I cannot make sure my PM is sent or not.

Do u think there are some parents give up the seats every year?

根據舊年經驗, 一定有人放棄註冊, 尤其是考到Co-ed那些, 我都認識2個, 另外有1個選擇了較平學費的高主教.

而有一些報考的是考了很多間學校, 所以可能有幾間都會取錄, 然後所選擇.

舊年我個仔有個K3同學, 原本連 waiting list 都無, 註冊後才收到通知 waiting list.

後來到今年6月正式註冊日, 仍然有人無到, 當時我親眼看到校長與負責註冊的老師/職員點算沒有來的數量, 一班大約都有2-3個, 因此未到最後都不要灰心.

加油呀!

最近與多位同班同學, 等校車的同學媽咪交流過, 得到一些資料 :

1. 假如你選擇弦樂, 例如小提琴, 老師會因應小朋友的高度再提議, 身形高大d, 會叫你學大提琴, 留返小提琴給身形細小的同學.

2. 假如你選擇管樂, 同樣細小的學笛/管類, 高大或較胖的, 會提議你學重d, 大件d的樂器, 例如法國號(這種樂器價錢很貴).

3. 假如你沒有選擇, 由老師建議, 身形細小的會提議你學
細件的節奏樂, 高大的, 都會提議管樂或大件的節奏樂, 較少會弦樂, 因為已經很多人選擇.

家長亦可選擇在外面學, 學校定期會有評估.

以上只是部份家長交換的心得, 當然不能準確知道所有安排, 但希望可以幫到你.

I think all successful parents would register in Nov when is too early for them to say giving-up any school, right?  Probably I hv to wait until the "lucky draw" finished and 6月正式註冊日.

Last night, I felt sorry to my son that I could not make him studying there.  My husband was also sad to hear that but he still comforted me the game is not over yet.  He said if we could not get a seat eventually, we try to apply P.2 next year or even worst we try to apply P.1 again next year lor... (as ours is a Dec boy)...

Anyway, thank you very much, pls keep me updated when any of you have news or whatever about St. Stephen's.

唔好太失望, 仲有今日, 或者部份會遲d收到呢, 交比主, 主會幫你囝囝揀一間合適佢既學校架啦.

另外, 你可以寫信去學校, 一定有用架, 同埋我姑奶有朋友之前係waiting list, 但係最後都入到, 我而家有朋友個囡都收左, 但係佢都等緊另一間學校, 如果收既, 佢一定會放棄st.stephen架, 所以放心

u may like to know there was one student now studying G.1 of St stephen got the acceptance letter just one week before the term started in Sept 2006. no one knows when the places pop up until the last moment. a bible story came up my mind. it just likes the right time that the sheep appeared when Abraham was almost going to kill his son and offered to God.

there is even a case in another school that the vacancy appeas few days after the school starts the term. so, let's have some fun and relax.

My daughter is SSCPS's G1 student this year.  On the first day of school, one of her classmates were not wearing uniform, her mother said, she only got the phone call from SSCPS three days before the school started. So don't worry, I know so many people have given up SSCPS after the 'Lucky Draw".   Another case is, one of the mothers' I met at the canteen, while I was waiting for my daughter, the mother said, her boy only got accepted in mid-August. ANd she has bought all the books and uniform for her son just a week before SSCPS called them.  There are always hope.  Best of luck.

I don't give up and now we are preparing a letter.  Hope the principal would really read this.  Apart from the principle, please kindly inform me if any of you  knowing about the co-in-charge on the P.1 admission, I would try to address her too.

Has your kid been confirmed by another school, if so, register first!

副校是黃Sir, you can find his full name on the school web as there is a staff list.  I guess he also has something to do for G.1 admission (because he remember the name of my son when we met him during my daughter's interview, I guess he read the application forms).

To my shame, what do u think a Chinese letter could also be appropriated? (As I know the principal is a Chinese actually and speaks Cantonese as well)  My husband is very strong in Chinese writing but weak in English especially on such kind of letter in detail.
