我最后選擇英文面試. 希望仔仔到時乖乖地.

我個仔英文中文都差唔多, 因為平時印印姐姐同佢講英文, 而我同daddy就講中文。  而佢講嘢就一句入面有中有英, 例如前幾日同佢練習, 我問佢 : "眼睛用來做乜架?" 佢就答 : "睇book"    希望d miss聽得明佢啦

My son will have an interview on 10/11 (Fri).  My hubby can't go with us coz he is a teacher :cry:

I choose Eng /mandarin class.  Is that true that the interview conducted in mandarin/  My son dones't know Mandarin.  Should I call to change the class?  Any mom choose the same class as me.  Can anybody share?

liklik, 我都覺得你揀中文interview是好o既如果你囝囝講一半一半...d中文老師多數會識d英文,但d西人老師未必識中文!!!

I chose to have English interview last year. The teacher is an expatriate, so we talked in English. Actually she just asked me some simple questions like why do you choose our school? She is very nice and my son is not scared at all and can answer most of the questions. The interwiew for my son ( born in Sept) was just the same as the big one:
-ask him to put a sticker on paper
-what's his name
-to name some food on a piece of paper (cookies, chicken, etc)
-matching the same pictures together
-to choose things that fly e.g. bird, butterfly, aeroplane
-listen to 3 cups with different sounds and match the one that she holds
-what 's the mouth for?

Both me and my husband go in for the interview. Don't worry and relax. Your nervousness may also affect your child. Tell your child you are going to have some games with a nice teacher.

我囡囡係大b, 2月出世
尋日arm arm收到form, 10 nov 11:15 interview, 都有d擔心佢interview嘅表現呀, 佢好飄忽吓, 一時好怕羞, 一時好大憺!  

我有D唔明, 點解你地要諗報am or pm, mug唔係所有低班都要返pm咩, 佢有張紙係咁寫bor!   張form我未塡呀, 不過都諗住揀中文interview~!

仲有呀, 如果interview果陣問"點解你會揀st cat?" 你地諗住點答呀? 家長嘅答案會唔會有影響架? 我唔係好識講野架, 我都擔心緊自己個表現呀!   :cry:

我also選擇英粵班, coz I think I will not send my son to int'l school in future.
I have choosed 羅福道 campus since it is near the MTR station.
我係11月10日上午11:00am. 我個仔仔係5月尾出世的.
希望個仔interview合作。

我想問下, 2007年 St. Catherine's k1, 係分 2 streams:

(1)英粵  & (2) 英普 班?

我仔而家讀SC k1, 冇分呢兩個 streams.

yes, 張form有得揀(1)英粵  & (2) 英普, 唔知係咪多左國內小朋友讀呢?

低班=K2 bor.  K1=幼兒班, K1係可以有am or pm架

so your son got into K1???  how r u finding the school, the curriculum, the people... etc?  is your son an active child? what is the boy/girl ration in his class?

你用英文翻譯個問題比佢聽, 老師會否扣分呢?我用英文+手勢 翻譯, 當然 要快而簡喇... d 時間好緊張, 問多幾問(我地家長有引導小朋友 答), interviewer 見唔答 會skip 左, 問下一題... 會否扣分呢?... 我唔知點評分, 唔敢答你...

** 我覺得用咩語言interview 唔太重要, 個interviewer 係有觀察 我囡o既反應, 其實d 問題 大多我囡都識... 但當時佢唔答又唔啋人, 但佢對d 用具好 好奇... 同個 miss 也有眼神接觸的...
個interviewer 亦有觀察 我同個囡o既對話, 佢問我問題時 都望住我對眼, 好留心聽我講野... 雖然我答到亂七八糟, 但我好有誠意的...

希望 幫到你地喇.... 我舊年都好緊張o架... 盡量用平常心喇, 唔好影響自己o既表現 !!

用英文 interview, 小朋友果 part, 我唔多講, 因為都係問果幾條問題, (咩名, 幾多歲, 邊個同佢黎, 係唔係  ready to play w/ the interviewer), 其餘的就做 matching games &玩果隻有聲杯. 我仔好快就完成果 interview. (我其實好 surprised 我仔識玩果d games, 因為之前我冇同佢玩過類似 ge o野).

我仔係細仔, 我覺得在 speaking 方面, interviewer 對我仔的要求唔高, 佢比較著重小朋友對佢的提問 & instructions 有冇反應.

小朋友完成interview之後, 老師會比粒糖/餅仔小朋友 (記得叫小朋友  say thank you). 之後就輪到家長做 interview.

家長方面, 問題應該跟用中文 interview 的差唔多 -
1. why choose St. Catherine's?
2. What's your expectation of the school ?
3. who takes care of the child?
4. what do you do with your child in the leisure time ?

我好簡單咁答, 所以就好快走得.

無論你用中文 or 英文 interview 都好, 用平常心去, 當係 比你 & 小朋友一個經驗. 當你睇到小朋友做到你冇諗過佢得到ge o野時, 果種surprise & 開心, 難以形容. 希望你有一個愉快的經歷.
