Hi CherylMum,

I love your nice sharing here.
My son spends lot of time in writing his comics ("Captain .....???") in this Easter Holiday. There are many wrong spelling words in his writing!!! e.g. blak, laff,  trolly, .....etc...
Don't know if I need to correct him!

Your son also likes Captain Underpants ? My son just memorized the whole introduction of it with his friend and always saying that "Once upon a time there were two cool kids named XXX (his name) and XXX (his friend's name). They have have mean Principal named XXX (his cousin's name)"

And he kept asking me to buy him the new book of Captain Underpants, as he has finished the whole series now.

Did you buy the "Book O' Fun" for him. He can learn how to draw Captain Underpants there.

My son is not a super fan of reading, but he really like the Captain Underpants and read it over and over again. I used to give up buying it cos' I thought it's too difficult for him. He's just 6 years old.

BTW, you may also try to let your kids to read the books online on

Yes. Magic Tree House is an adventure series about Jack and Annie published by RH.

If your daughter studies in IS, probably you can get this series of books at a very low price (~US$39.9 for all 28 books) through scholastic bookclub.  BTW, the audio CDs (book 1-16) for MTH are available in HK public library. You may borrow one or two books / CD from the library to see if your daughter shows interest in the stories. (Unlike the magic key, magic tree house is the early chapter book with quite a lot of words but less pictures.)

I've borrowed "Rita the Rescuer" series by Hilda Offen (published by Happy Cat) from the public library recently. It's another interesting adventure series which is suitable for girl.
