I bought this book today accidentally at Circle K.  It contains an excellent description of the popular DSS, with useful information on the interview.  Here's some tips on the SPCC-MRPS interview to share with you :-

Round 1 - kids play in group of 3-4 persons for 15 minutes.  The school will observe the child's concentration, creativity and patience.

Questions of Headmistress for child :
1. What's your hobby and why you like this hobby.
2. Activity on Sunday.  Specialty about the place you go (e.g. to church)
3. Where do you live ? Tell me something about the neighbourhood.
4. Can you make a phone call ? Who will you call ?
5. What's your parent's profession ? Do they work in the weekend ?

Round 2 Questions for the Parents :
1. How do you teach you child - does it match with the school mission ?
2. Are you busy at work, how do you take care of your child ?
3. Can you participate in the school activities ?
4. Do you think family education is important ?
5. Why do you choose this school ? Have you chosen other school ?

Try to take a look at the book.  It describes about the teaching method, activities and teachers of the SPCC Primary School.  Should be read by parents before the 2nd interview.  Will give the child a feel of the school too.

不過我就覺得好難計小朋友係playroom時的表現,因為一來的小朋友冇掛名牌,二來亦唔覺的老師/主任攞住的form記錄! 加上有的小朋友早in既話,就只得數分鐘係playroom到等! 有的遲in既,就玩好耐!

我個小朋友係playroom玩足兩個鐘,佢仲話老師同佢地玩猜皇帝,爭椅仔,講故事... 玩到好鬼開心,又話的老師/主任/校長好好,仲想去多幾次玩!又話想讀這間學校...

首先, 不要過份勞氣! 我相信面試日期與有無"關係" 無關 ! 我係最後那天尾二遞 form( 我到達時已經係 16:03, 我15:50致電話搭緊的士10多分鐘到,可否等一等! 對方好cool話只收16:00前之form, 心諗都上左的士,唔通唔去咩?趕到我死 ! 好彩去到仍有十多人排緊隊, 差不多16:25仲有最後一個家長到, 所以我好肯定我係尾二遞form!) 我絕對是沒有任何關係的申請者!我在10月7日收到面試日期通知信,安排在10月17日面試, 其實 心知 17個位都係機會是零 , 但身為父毋首先不要打輸, 或者真係有寄蹟!

我就認為面試安排可能以姓氏英文排, 我仔是 C 字頭,故可能
排得好早些!!!妳地唔好心急, 唔一定早就機會大些, 我就覺得遲些 in 會好些, 起碼小朋友有機會 in 下其他小學,實習下 !!

I will correct it tonight at home if it is wrong.  The book has very detailed information on the two SPCC primary schools and their interview.  The interview questions, which was from the interviewed parents and maybe from the headmistress, correspond with what I know.  The information is updated for  current year appication, and with useful tips for interview.   

Try the book stores if you cannot find it in Circule K.  Highly recommend that parents here preparing for interviews should read it.

I think the school interviews the related party first, then the SKH kids, and then Christians.  These are parties with extra marks given as stated in their admission policy.

But don't lose heart.  I know successful students who are interviewed on the last day of the first round.  Just prepare an interesting portfolio and a happy and confident child to impress the Headmistress.

不過, 我都知好微機會, 在1st interview 校長都沒有問我仔什麼問題, 5分鐘左右就完成, 我仔出來仲問我點解, 校長唔同佢講嘢?  

我估我這些 "沒關係人士", 仔又是細仔, 仲要報住地址是九龍,  校長根本就無什麼意向會收

2)讀邊間幼稚園
3)點樣番學
4)誰接你放學
5)住邊度
6)有什麼興趣班
7)最喜歡邊個興趣班 (個女答畫畫)
8)係邊度學畫畫 (個女答唔知!)
9)講下之前畫的圖畫 (跟住數目字油指定的顏色)

見面大約五分鐘就完成，我為看機會好微。

My daughter said the Principal told her the profile is beautiful and she said "thank you".

The questions asked which my daughter can tell me after interview included 1) what did you parents do? and 2) how did she help in taking care the little brother.......

And my daughter stayed in the play room for 1 and 1/2 hours before an about 5 min interview.....

However, unluckily, my daughter was sick before the interivew and to certain extent has affected her attentive and responsive..... -(

Jackie,

Your daughter is good as she can tell you so many questions that the Principal asked....

However, we all have to realise that we never know what the result will be. As long as we (parents and the kids) do our best, we feel no regret.....
