其實TSL到底不算一線的學校, 如果SFA,DBS等收了你的小朋友, 多數家長都會放棄他的, 聽說1st round都有很多家長放棄學位去大抽奘或去了其他較好的私小, 但他收生的程序實在不敢恭維, 之前已聽朋友說, 第三輪收生要考些2-3年班桯度旳試卷, 現在考完又要再面試校長, 何不筆試完即出信你得與否, 經過這樣精挑細選的結果, 真的可以選到好的學生嗎? 到最後說不定還是很多學生不去, 要第4,第5輪收生. 聽到朋友in TSL的過程, 我都覺得很煩氣.

我都覺得接小朋友走既安排好亂. 不過我都係平常心去試下, 得唔得都無所謂.

照這樣看來, 明天還是會有許多人去in, 即不是一定收你, 本來他筆試出得那樣深, 許多家長都不會有任何期望的了, 現在又叫些人再去in , 如果明天in 完又唔收, 即係得個搞, 會好影向家長的心情, 相信要返工的家長都已請了許多次了假, 唔知到最後會唔會都系得個吉.

這是一個定律,各家長千方百計要替孩子找一所最,最,最好的學校,同樣地學校亦是搞盡腦汁地選出一些高水平的學生,這是無可厚非的, 正所謂人揀你,你揀人!

How is the interview?  When you will know the result?

Dear Ichun

We hv finished the interview.  The process is very simple.  10 kids a group.  Each kid hv to finish a puzzle together with their parents.  Then, come out (on your own accord) introduce yourself n breifly explain what is it abt the puzzle.  That's all.  In our group, only 3 of the kids (including my gal) are willing to do the introduction.

I hv no chance to talk with the headmistress.  The whole process took abt 20 mins.  They will notify us the result by next Tuesday.

Actually, I really dun understand what's the interview for.

以我所見, 都有幾多小朋友參加課外活動, 有volleyball, football.  我見到有swimming pool 啦.  according to headmistress, 個swimming pool 係for 佢地student only, 係全天候既. 今次既安排, 比上次好左好多, 老師亦面帶笑容.  至于校長, 佢俾我既感覺係一個好open minded 既校長. 唔會係好traditional 既.  我相信佢應該會prefer 一啲比較有生氣既學習模式俾小朋友.

不過都係個句, 呢個interview 我睇唔到對佢地選生方面有幾大得益.

As explained by the Headmistress, the result of written test is not the selection criteria of P1 student admission.  Rather, the kid's behaviour during examination is indeed a more dominating factor for selection of kids for this interview.   

The interview process was exactly what described by heihei 媽.   I could see the Headmistress taking few notes during interviewing process but it is quite doubt how can the Headmistress be able to distinguish and understand the kids potential in such short period with totally 20 people (10 kids and 10 parents) gathered around.

Maybe, just treat it as ... "lucky draw"
