I'm still not sure about the teaching style and whether I could feel any warmth from the teaching staff ... Teaching style is relaxed and children learn at their own pace, "warmth" would depend on individual teachers, some are more enthusiastic than others. Overall the children love it because there is "a lot of play and no learning", which is the exact comment from my daughter who studied there before. By the time she was in ESF Y1 she was comparatively behind because some of her classmates were from non-ESF kindergartens which were a bit more "pushy" in academics, but by Y2 everyone was at more or less at the same level.
If you trust ESF and never try to compare your child with other children, then you will feel relaxed too, but if you're concerned with comments like "How come your child still can't do this / doesn't know this?" from relatives and friends then ESF may not be the right choice.
