For more information, school encourages the kids to have interview experience.  In fact, the school also shared information to me when I prepared interview with St. Paul Co-ed.

Thanks for the info!  My girl is studying K1 at Victoria Kinder also and I do plan to let her try the 1st round when it comes to her turn.  How's the interview with St. Paul Co-ed for your kid?  Did you enroll him/her other schools also?  Please share with us your experience some more if it's convenient to you!  THANKS!

My girl fails in St. Paul Co-ed.  Sucessful in this school depends on many factors  One of them is background of parent.  

Indeed, school did give a  lot of supports to kids and parents for applying DSS.  

Now, I decide to let her study Victoria Primary School although I am successful in 1st round

In fact, I plan to let my girl to study at Victoria Primary since she has been studying at Victoria kinder.  However, I heard from my relatives recently that the school is good at English only but standard of the other subjects is not as good as the other ordinary primary schools in HK (especially weak at Chinese subject).  Also, it's too free and their teaching method will make your kid never be able to catch up with the pace/syllabus of the other secondary schools in the future once she studies at Victoria Primary.  That's why it makes me struggle in my plan recently.  Do you have the similar kind of concerns regarding Victoria Primary?  I don't mind it is quite commercial provided it can fulfil our need (i.e. to provide a good environment for our kids to learn at a standard that the other good school can do) but really concern about whether the only way for my kid's future is to go study overseas (since she couldn't catch up with the local school).

Another concern is that Victoria pri and sec. school will run IB, it is not the main stream of HK current (HKCE, HKAL) or future (3-3-4) education system.

Is Vic. a rite choice if we want our kid to go university in HK?

If you want to put your kids in universities in HK, it is better to stay in HK education system.  Therefore, you should choose traditional famous school such as St. Paul Convent, Sacred Heart etc.

It is still a risk to follow IB but want to study in HK.  Of course, in the future, IB may be propular, universities in HK may also admit many students stuyding IB. This is another discussion.
